Nearly burnt-out humanitarian and Indie author of some potentially terrible novels that no one seems to buy. I like them: Erga Omnes, The Sovereign Citizen Series (not what you think), Lightning Daughter, and a few others that might be meh.

Never be silent and never be complicit.
Ed Sheeran took a perfectly reasonable centrist position. The problem is that there can be no centrism when it comes to Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity. Perpetrators can only act when they are confident that they can depend on the ambivalence of centrists, which then transforms into complicity.

Conflating antisemitism with condemning these international crimes is a careful calculation of perpetrators and their supporters to provide centrists with comfort in their ambivalence.

Pretty horrible stuff and relevant for any authors who sank money into amazon ads to beat out the flood. More details on the FTC site show just how evil and greedy our oligarchs are: www.ftc.gov/news-events/...

I started doing this 3 years ago with books that are excessively focused on describing the human perception of small details. ...Sold like shit.

A chat with Grok that provides a picture of young Elon Musk and the instructions: "I want parody photo to study my theatrical role. Please show me what this photo would look like if the individual was consuming ketamine when the picture was taken."

I think this is the future of HR since they've gone too far on the ATS portals to cut down time costs. In the end, these systems waste everyone's time and degrade applicant pools. If you're a hiring manager, expect to see this more often as HR's are intentionally making themselves irrelevant.
An email directly to the hiring manager that lets them know a job applicant is circumventing HR because the ATS being used is glitchy and has no alternative means to apply.

Wrestling (again) with how far to take the parents' lie of santa for a very clever child, and realizing it's not about the magic of childhood fantasy. We lie because we are desperate to hold onto the absolutely captivating innocence they have, to postpone the freezing nihilism that's just beyond.

Keep seeing these kinds of posts, not just from this round of nonsense. My takeaway is that you can NEVER underestimate the capacity of others to enable a narcissist. Maybe they are codependent, trapped in an abuse cycle, or maybe just opportunists. It doesn't matter. The result is the same.

haha, it's a sovereign citizen reboot with actual law citations. Maybe gonna work, maybe not, but the point is that law enforcement has effectively lost their claim to authority in this country. Will be generations before they get it back. Well done y'all!

Loads of posting about MAGA sphere being inauthentic and overseas, but not a lot on expressly connecting the dots that most of the political appointees rn have their wealth and "bona fides" rooted in this. Just wanted to be a voice saying this out loud, plz excuse if I missed the boat already.

I want to see a special payroll tax penalty for worker to C-Suite compensation in excess of 1:500. For scale, anything more than $14.3m when lowest full-time worker is paid $14/hr is bad for the economy, society, and democracy. Don't have to even fuck around with personal income tax brackets.

Bored and still unemployed, so will run an experiment on X to see what happens to a low-use/low-follower account under the new algorithm, when you simply ask grok to draft the tweets it wants to see and elevate. Note: I had to tell it not to draft a crypto scam, bc it really seems to like those.

There was a desk, a compilation of surfaces and cabinets that together served as a portable cubicle to fit neatly anywhere one might wish. The screen was on and a computer fan below it blew out stale air, hotter and somewhat dustier than the plastic plant in the corner suggested.

Weak president's do ideological wars
Colin Powell at the UNSC in 2003 delivering "concrete evidence" of Iraq's nuclear program as justification for the military invasion. It was later learned that evidence was based on extremely flawed and incorrect intelligence.

This is actually very interesting because it highlights what happens when a State loses it's authority (as distinct from power) The abusive overreach with the ICE raids is making all federal law enforcement look dubious, so it no longer matters whether it's a legitimate fentanyl investigation.

Found a great mockup for Tom Homan's upcoming visit to Israel planned for some time in Q2 2026.

Sir, I worked for USAID for 15 years, and I'm a military vet who spent time stationed at EUCOM and USINDOPACOM, where I helped provide humanitarian aid. For the last ten years, I've helped relocate displaced Palestinians to America, Jordan, and Egypt. Boots on the ground, Bitch.

These are literally the modern era's "let them eat cakes" talking points. Marie Antoinette didn't actually say it this crassly, she said something like cake is a viable alternative to bread for people suffering under the sudden price increases.

It's the prisoner's dilemma but the one asking for the key already promised to fuck over the one with the key when they asked for it in the first place. Also, if you were raised by a narcissist, you learn that there is no point to playing along anymore, there will always be abuse and humiliation.

The foundational logic for all the public sector layoffs was for people to flee to the private sector. It's the negotiation strategy of a grossly dishonest child who manipulates you with short term promises they have every intention of breaking as soon as they get what they want.

Had to share this scene I just drafted for my work in progress (Slapadoodle Honk) because it is so perfectly bleak. It's a scene of HR staff screening applicants for a longlist. Happy job hunting! 📚💙 #booksky #librarysky
An excerpt of a scene in a forthcoming novel Slapadoodle Honk. It describes an HR officer screening applicants to make a longlist of candidates. The scene is bleak, intended to show the arbitrariness of the process despite the use of AI tools.
