Next week is an event I've been building with my friend Nellee (from BB_Only!), Cristian Zanotti (from Smash & our flyer covergirl) and our friend, a microbiologist/vinyl selector from Hamburg La Carpio--a party called 'Leatherette'. Friday July 17th is the date: ra.co/events/2436372

Some good news is coming for an event I produce with my fianceé Len.Leo and our best friend electroponce: Gentle Reminder. We're getting extra special help from the Music Board in Berlin to set us up for success for the rest of the year. Stay tuned for more info and exciting plans.

Madeleine Goldstein so magnificent last night at 8MM. I keep complaining there are no bands I want to see in Berlin these days but it's getting better and I need to stay on top of this more 🥹

XELTA is the result of two of my friends coming together to make art. Bruno Coviello from New York and Sharlese Metcalf from Seattle.

My label Körperspannung has been quiet for awhile. I'm working behind the scenes setting up new structures to move faster on vinyl production, distro and organizing artists so they have an easier time getting their music out. With that, the next release is XELTA. kspan.bandcamp.com/track/exquis...

Need to unlock new skill sets--and perhaps bring a little SF to Berlin.

This week in Berlin my fiancé Lennard and our best friend and resident DJ electroponce start the Sunday service at Paloma a bit later as the days get longer. Come give us a twirl before the crew goes on Summer break. ra.co/events/2421736

It feels odd to say this (and took me awhile to let it sink in) but as of last year I can say I'm Taiwanese-American/German 😜. Now that that's out of the way, starting the process for a extremely low key Eheschließung. Yep, I'm navigating German bureaucracy like it's a sci-fi/fantasy RPG 🍖

Our friend Poppe closed the first Gentle Reminder but the recorder didn't pick up the set. They took the time to recreate that energy and we couldn't be happier with the result. As part of our mix series here is their set in post. File under electrifying disco, house. soundcloud.com/gentleremind...

My favorite memory touring with Mara was in the car ride headed to Pennsylvania with @darkentries.bsky.social driving we joked about how we wanted to make Ren-Wave or Ren-Fair Wave. I don't know how to describe it: Dragon Wave, GoT Wave, but between this and my release we're getting there 🪉🐉

Seeing Pulp again in Berlin. Last year was weird in Amsterdam. Security followed me around, couldn't enjoy the show. What made it weirder--I was the only one being followed & surveiled in a room of Europeans. They ran as soon I started filming them instead of the show. Hope it's not stressy here 🤪

Hard Tip: this release is so fucking sick. No one matches the levels of Mara Barenbaum of Group Rhoda. I'm so honored and happy to be friends with her, as tour comrades back in the States and in extremely excellent company as a fellow artist on Dark Entries / @darkentries.bsky.social!

Out today: Phase 5 by Group Rhoda. Mara Barenbaum has recorded under the Group Rhoda name for more than a decade, and her latest release sees her perpetually in-between states, deftly shifting form at the blink of an eye. grouprhoda.bandcamp.com/album/phase-5

Next Gentle Reminder in Berlin is April 12th at Paloma. The crowd keeps getting sweeter and cuter as we keep going. People left their frozen cubes for a daytime dance. Loved seeing some gay German ravers (reminiscing about Ostgut days) come out of party retirement for last Sunday's gathering.

A live set recording for a view of what we're giving at Gentle Reminder: the next one by DJ Bricks is up on SC. They closed the upstairs floor from our November event with a kaleidoscope of sounds and bass heavy influences that worked us into a frenzy. soundcloud.com/gentleremind...

Good evening America. It has recently come to my attention.... Midheaven/Revolver will be distributing my label's catalog for US market. That means, my records will be appearing more in shops across the states. Give Midheaven a ring to see my releases in your city. midheaven.com/label/koerpe...

What were the most interesting queer musicians doing during the 1980s? There’s no one answer of course, but Dark Entries is making a pretty compelling case that some of the most adventurous figures were in fact making gay porn soundtracks. firstfloor.substack.com/p/spider-taylor-surge-studio-music
