@thehighsign.bsky.social Not that you need or approve of colored version of this, but: www.instagram.com/reel/DZTFnig... FWIW, “history colored“ is just WONDERFUL. Now, it’s not like Buster Keaton needs to be “colored” but just as an entry point into their account. I thought of you when I saw:

“. OK – just opened this up and you were the first person I saw and was thrilled. But then, I saw about the ailments… Going to look back and see if there’s anything about that there but FWIW I do hope you are “all right“.

Now remembering how much I loved the WELL then too and how essential back-and-forth was then. Without it you didn't have a platform at all really.

RSS is so central to my day actually! (FWIW "Reeder" for iOS is my RSS reader) but not so much on the community front as the chat centric BBSs were. And referring back to my last response to your post and your post itself, Usenet was so community based for me. Back-and-forth was de rigueur then.

BBSs with fora/chat were ABSOLUTELY that way. I was telling somebody recently about Snopes and remembering that Barbara Mikkelson was one of the most active posters back on all.folklore.urban!
