One of my fave aspects of Sanji will forever be that he flirts the way he does because he expects nothing back. He doesn't think he deserves to exist so he gives affection endlessly. It's why he overheats at hand holding or is oblivious to ppl liking him, he doesn't expect it😭

When I see Sanji yelling he's not a Vinsmoke, I don't see him needing to accept it, I see him being strong in who he is despite being told who he SHOULD be. I think the only blood acceptance is being Sora's son, as she saved him to be who he is - a kind chef following his dreams

Sanji's self acceptance being a Vinsmoke is contradictive no? WCI was him finally breaking from Judge's shadow, Onigashima was him rejecting Judge's tech, he's even a chef despite Judge's disapproval. Sanji's story is Sanji being Sanji DESPITE being told what he SHOULD be.

I'm ecstatic this confirmed so many of my thoughts on Zoro. He DOES struggle with his own person at times, he DOES feel anxiety regarding his strength, he DOES lack confidence after a stumble. He's grounded but sometimes he digs himself into the ground and he needs a boost!!

god this new chapter is exactly why I love one piece so much. The build up from wano and the indications that Zoro was doubting himself finally paying off to show he'd been struggling. The bandana, which hasn't been worn since Wano, symbolising his self assurance. HIIIGH AAART 🗣️

Oda does it twice in the chapter btw, pretty clear cut (heh) considering this is a chapter where we watch Zoro struggle and grow. Zoro must feel a strong sense of self and Oda wants us to see Zoro as a struggling yet strong person, not just strong haki man Zoro the swordsman LOL

Found out the French version changed the text to not cover Zoro's eye, an unusual choice considering Oda loves his panel composition and covering faces - especially face scars - with text. It usually implies a personal vulnerability as it hides their 'powerful' or 'strong' side.
