Not sure if this is a hot take but I sometimes see people talk about moderation as the central spine of community management. Moderation is to community management what taking the trash out is to being a chef. It’s part of the equation for sure but it’s not really the thing.

When I was 20 my anxiety was so bad it was hard to do some ordinary things, the pinnacle of which was going to the post office. I just got back from the post office and realised it was exactly ordinary. It’s not a huge thing, just a nice reminder of how things change over time.

One of the barriers to finding good mobile games is how hard it is to figure out what their monetization is before you download and play it. I used to feel like PC games were impervious to that and now it feels like more and more of them obscure the info. Just tell me!
