The AI robots are trolling each other now. I had Claude help me write a script to anonymize data in a staging db, and it chose to replace all video links with a... quite specific YouTube link. Then I had GitHub Copilot review my subsequent pull request, and it spotted the Rickroll right away.

Ha, Claude got so into speculating on the future direction of Remix that it enthusiastically offered to keep me updated. And then realized it can’t. Bummer.

Snippet of chat with the Claude chatbot:

Wanted to practice scales and chords on the guitar randomly around the neck. Literally less than a minute with Claude, and it built me a little web app just for that 🤘

Prompt for Claude 3.5 Haiku:

“Generate a small app for practicing guitar. It should have these features:

1. A BMP slider
2. Large-text display of a single note name (e.g. “C” or “F#”) that changes once every bar (4/4) based on the BPM setting. Randomly chosen from all chromatic notes.
3. Large text display of a fret number (0-16) that also changes along with the note name.“

Fascinating! Especially Ryan’s original hand drawn version. Now I wonder if it was ever intended to have a rainy background, or if it was just sloppily colored in? This is A Very Important Detail™ considering that the 2.0 logo dropped the rain. We need the story straight from Ryan, Phil!
