You feel some sort of moral superiority because of your method of reading. You need to work on that. There is no prize for you for sitting down with an open book, or a kindle, versus audiobook.

And to add to my point, audiobooks light up the same part of the brain that light up when reading with your eyes. You’re absorbing the information the same exact way. I multitask and use audiobooks to do so, that’s the opposite of lazy. You’re just a judgmental ableist.

Nobody asked what you agree with. These are facts. And perhaps someone in your bookclub who uses audiobooks uses them because they have ADHD you don’t know about or dyslexia you don’t know about. The point is you don’t know. Fuck you for judging them. It’s not a competition.

I laid down at 1pm with the intention of getting up and out of bed, and reading in direct sunlight this afternoon. I woke up at 8pm, disoriented, no sunlight to be found, still tired 🤣 I forgot how exhausting these antibiotics can be (same ones I took for encephalitis) but today’s the last dose!

and thank you to the absolute angel who sold it on eBay for not a whole arm and leg and first born child who also lives within 45 minutes of me so that it would be delivered when i need it the most It’s going for up to $400, and i got it for $20 wild

on the bright side, panic attacks aside, I have book mail coming today. I’ve been in desperate search for this out of print book for over a year and could never find it at an affordable price. until now, when i absolutely need this pick-me-up more than ever. I like when the universe works that way

had me one of them ole panic attacks that lasts two hours, doesn’t respond to a full dosage of emergency meds, a fat dosage of Zofran, or any other medication, and only dies out when I pass out from exhaustion. It’s a dentist appointment, abigail, NOT WAR. YOURE NOT GOING TO WAR
