⏳ #BlackInTime celebrates the pioneers who shaped the future of science. People like Dr. Mary Logan Reddick and Timnit Gebru remind us that Black innovation has always been at the forefront of discovery. ✨ #BINW26
Promotional graphic for #BlackInTime, a featured series during Black In Neuro Week 2026, highlighting historical Black neuroscientists. The flyer has a retro-inspired orange sunburst background with a cream arch-shaped panel. At the center is a black-and-white photograph of Mary Logan Reddick seated at a laboratory bench with a microscope. Text identifies her as a neuroembryologist, notes that she earned her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1944, and that she was the first female biology professor at Morehouse College before joining the University of Atlanta, where she taught from 1953 until her passing. The Black In Neuro logo appears in the top right and bottom left corners, with #BINW26 displayed in a banner across the bottom.Promotional graphic for #BlackInTime, a featured series during Black In Neuro Week 2026, highlighting influential Black leaders in science and technology. I am Betty, a PhD candidate at Emory University. My research focuses on understanding how changes in RNA can disrupt brain function. I imagine a future where scientific discovery is strengthened by inclusive collaborations across countries. (I will be moderating a BINW panel on this on Thursday!)
