I asked PM Carney not to include cooking appliances in Canada’s retaliatory tariffs. His office said my letter was “carefully read.” Appliances were tariffed 25% anyway. Every $1 imposed at the border can add roughly $2–$3 at retail. Perhaps it was carefully filed. 😏
