We all had a great night on Wed at Art Bar. CarraRock Entertainment, LLC was fabulous, as usual! Attendees learned about voting in Nov, upgrades to the way that we vote, and won lots of great Art Bar swag and Bucks. Thanks everyone who came out! #MoreVoiceMoreChoice #2026election #RankedChoiceVoting

Candidates from 3 parties is a rarity in SC, but the Libertarian candidate has been all over the state (which needed to be pointed out during the debate). We want to see real competition on the ballot. #MoreChoiceMoreVoice #FairRepresentation

3 candidates took the stage last night. They showed their distinct visions for SC. That's more choice for South Carolinians, but too many people are afraid of the #SpoilerEffect. #InstantRunoffVoting allows us to have more viable options on the ballot so we can find people who better align w/ us.

#InstantRunoffVoting favors voters, not one particular party. It has benefited both parties depending on the race, like Glenn Youngkin in VA and Zohran Mamdani in NYC. Check out the video for more: www.youtube.com/shorts/NHC3Y... #MoreChoiceMoreVoice #FairRepresentation #RankedChoiceVoting

As is your right. If you don't want back up candidates if your favorite candidate can't win, that's your choice. But for people who are sick of voting for the lesser of two evils or want to avoid costly runoffs, ranked choice voting is a great option. Don't ruin it for everyone else.

Better Ballot SC @betterballotsc.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Yes, it boosts lesser known candidates by eliminating the spoiler effect. They can rank their favorite candidate first and then have back up candidates. But campaign finance reform is also needed.

Many states have that option, but in SC we have to go through the state legislature to change our laws. That's why it's so important for us to be active and informed at the state and local level
