We have recieved reports of ICE activity in West Lawrence and South Lawrence.

According to witnesses and our rapid responders this is CONFIMRED ICE ACTIVITY.
We can confirm 5 total confirmed sighting.
We can confirm 3 detainments.
We are working with the families of those detained.

1st 7:00am
Location: RevCity Church Parking Lot, Wakarusa and Harvard
IDs: 6-7 ICE agents: Jeans, Dark Shirts, Masks Tactical Vests with POLICE ICE and ERO 6-7 vehicles: 2 Honda CRV SUVs, 2 4-door sedans, 1 silver/Gre Ford Tuck, All unmarked Situation: Met in parking lot, moving things in and out of vehicles
NO individuals targeted or detained

3rd 7:30am
Location: Near hillcrest elementary
Individual was pulled over by ICE agent - request to see documentation to prove citizenship
No detainments

2nd 6:30-7:30am
Location: Back of CVS parking lot, 23rd and lowa
IDs: 5 ICE agents: militant clothing dark, masks, tactical vest with POLICE ICE
1 Black SUV unmarked
Confirmed one individual detained

4th 8:30am
Location Hobby Lobby and El Potro Parking Lot, 34th and lowa IDs: 3-4 agents Jeans, Dark Shirts, Masks Tactical Vests with POLICE ICE 2-3 vehicles Black SUV, 1 silver/Gre Ford Tuck, All unmarked Confirmed one individual detained

Location: Raising Canes & Kwik Shop Parking Lot, 25th and lowa
6-7 ICE agents: Jeans, Dark Shirts, Masks, blue royals hat and white american flag hat,
Tactical Vests with POLICE ICE and ERO
6-7 vehicles: 2 Honda CRV SUVs, 24-door sedans, 1 silver/Gre Ford Tuck, All unmarked

So much for flying Southwest. In addition to now charging for checked bags, they’re adding expiration to flight credits. Everything they ever (successfully!!) advertised as a differentiator is now gone.
