I hear you! As of today, I will never live long enough to knit up all my yarn. We will not discuss all my books and patterns! 😉

Sometimes our visions don't work. We've all been there. I also completed some things that ended up being atrocious. But, I learned something too.

FO Friday! I finished a scarf using up bits and pieces from my stash. Cast on about 200 stitches, then knit lengthwise in linen stitch. I changed yarn every row. Gauge, weight, fiber do not matter one bit. I leave ~6" at each end & knot for fringe. You get a nice woven-look fabric. #KnitSky 🧶

I cast on 200+ stitches, depending desired length. Then knit each row in a leftover yarn, in linen stitch. You can use any combo of colors, fibers, weights etc. I leave a 6" tail on either end that I tighten up and knot to make fringe once done. This makes a lovely scarf that looks and feels woven.

I use flexi flips for socks as I found them the easiest, just FYI. Dpns had stitches slide off and shorties cramped my hands up. You can use any pattern with any needle. Just use a stitch marker or two to mark your rows on circulars. Good luck!

See my most recent post. I am doing a long lengthwise linen stitch scarf to use up scraps and relax my brain a bit. Gauge & yarn weight don't matter.

I bought a sweater pattern from this designer, Linnea Ornstein, and am trying to knit this scarf as practice with the short rows wrap & turn. So, if you hear screaming & gnashing of teeth, that's me. My tension is a challenge. Advice is appreciated. Thoughts and prayers are welcome. #KnitSky #Knit

I see that too, and I might just adjust it there if I made it, as I like my sleeves more close fitting.

I like this a lot! I would consider knitting this, as I have been wanting to make a cardigan this fall. Be sure to let us know when it's released!

Finished this tee on Friday and wore it yesterday. Pattern is Pastel Blue & yarn is Cascade Cotton Rich DK color 1457. I don't usually wear orange, but I love this!! It looks better on me than the couch I think! #KnitSky #Showmeyourknits

I have switched to flexi-flips, and just love them! They are easier on my hands and don't slip out of my work.

And here I sit on Minnesota, mourning the demise of my country. I am glad that you know you are blessed. Our mess will take decades to fix, if it ever is.

Suddenly, I want to STOP a summer knit, and dive into wooly things. It's been a bit cooler in the evening here in Minnesota. But still hot days. Who else gets fall fever?? #KnitSky #bringonthecool

Depends on the man! My hubby and second son surely would, but my eldest, nope. I won't even knit him a hat, as it would be a waste of time. My other son wears them all the time! Go figure.

Oh holy cow, I thought you were commenting on another post of mine!! YES, it's a sweater called Pastel Blue on Ravelry.

I used several sources to make these, so there is no pattern. If I did another pair, I might choose a different design for the thumb gusset, but that's just me. You can search Selbu mittens for many options. I used the basis from a pattern in a book I have called Folk Mittens by Marcia Lewandowski.

Working on a sweater (pattern is Pastel Blue) using Cascade Cotton Rich DK, color 1457. It's light orange 64% cotton, 36% nylon. I am liking how this yarn is knitting up, with nice drape.

Raglan or top down fits me best. I knit a pieced sweater this spring and wondered why when it came to stitching it all together, although it fits wonderfully.

Linen is the fabric and flax is the fiber, and that's my guess! Either a shawl or drapey top would be nice!

Finished this sweater yesterday. Misty Lake Cables knit in 100% cotton Gloucester by Bernat from my yarn stash. It still needs blocking. If I decide to knit another sweater that needs to be sewn together, please stop me. I am pleased with it though! #KnitSky

FO Tuesday! Speedy Selbu Mittens knit in yarns from my stash: teal wool, gray tweed held with a lace alpaca. I added a few extra rows and a Latvian braid to the cuff to accommodate my hands. Blocked and ready for next winter.
