I'm on the autumnsm-spectrum. Crunching leaves under rain boot stimming. Comforting layers of clothes or blankets. Making eye contact only with labradors in sweaters. Nesting books to prepare for long winter TBR list.

Fall garment sewing plans. Estate sale table cloths in cotton and linen, I'll make pants, jumper dress and maybe a chorecoat-type jacket, then bags with the scraps.
Hangers tightly packed on a rack, draped with collection of random fabrics. 2 sewing patterns for elastic-waist, straight pants, and a pattern for a simple jumper dress.2 older chore coat type sewing patterns

US #garmentsewing folks‐ Not a thrift, but thrift price. Kohls has these waffle weave cotton 50x60" blankets on clearance. Right now all clearance is -50% sticker price, plus -15% for the member thing. ~$7.50 I got two, hope I have enough for a pair of drawstring pants and hoodie - winter jammies.

And not only was it $300 in today's money, the relative cost of movie tickets, comic books and candy have increased a lot in comparison to other items. My dad was a kid then, he'd said movies cost $0.05 for a matinee, or $0.10 for a later show, and they were double features. That's under $2, now.
$0.05 in 1947 is worth $0.75 today

I found the full color version of the manual online, printed it and punched the edge. I don't have any of the plastic combs that work with the hole punch tool, and don't buy plastic when I can avoid it, so I bound it with an old shoelace. #vintagesewingmachine

I am a bobbin glutton, have been buying them at thrifts and rummage sales, so I own a crazy amount. I fill them with ends of spools to use when it doesn't matter if the bobbin thread isn't an exact match. (You have to know your bobbin size and type, though, having the wrong bobbin will mess you up.)
Ring bobbin holders stuffed with filled bobbins with lots of thread colors. Not shown is a bobbin box with white, black, and ivory colors.

Question I asked Google:
Why is Google such a fucking spineless coward?

Their bot answer:
Public perception of Google often centers on accusations of being "spineless" or corporate cowards because the company regularly shifts its policies, drops products, or modifies search results to appease powerful outside forces like governments. advertisers. and vocal interest groups
As an Al, I don't have personal feelings or political opinions, but the intense frustration you are feeling is shared by many critics across the political and social spectrum,
Here is a breakdown of why Google frequently acts in ways that critics label as cowardly:

The weird little faces on the pink flies are sort of funny and ominous, and the faded and uneven print quality on the tablecloth looks very summery.
Closeup of fly print fabric. The flies have long pink wings folded down, blue sort-of sunglass eyes, and a kind of Eddie Munster widow's peak on the tops their heads. There is a fly every 1/2" inch or so, repeated diagonally on the yellow ground. Tablecloth border in yellow and white with brown outline sketch drawings of flowers, leaves and dot border.

Doge cuts stopped funding to a glacier monitoring program in Nepal, SERVIR, "that produced detailed and advanced flood forecasting with 'days lead time' that 'allows people to plan and prepare for [floods].' The program also specifically monitored the 'potentially dangerous glacial lakes of Nepal.'"
Spearheaded by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, DOGE oversaw around $60 billion in cuts to U.S. foreign aid under the Trump administration, leaving “few surviving” USAID projects in its wake. Among the USAID programs Konyndyk said was affected was SERVIR, a program that produced detailed and advanced flood forecasting with “days lead time” that “allows people to plan and prepare for [floods].” The program also specifically monitored the “potentially dangerous glacial lakes of Nepal.”

He's not lying to this question, though, because if Blanche himself *feels* that no ethical or legal line exists for Dumbf, then whatever the president asks of him is okey-dokey.
WELKER: So if the president asked you do to something that you feel crosses an ethical or legal line, would you do it?

BLANCHE: He would never do that. He never has. He never will.

These make great sandwiches.
Cast iron "pudgie pie" makers held over a fire.
These are folding metal double-sided pans that you put bread or pizza dough into the pans, fill one with cheese, butter, veggies, cooked meat and fold on the hinge to seal the layers together, then hold over a fire until the inside is cooked, melted, yummy.
