Alba Bakery, an Italian Bakery in a small English town, focussed on hand made goods done with patience and care, I chose to design some of the brand identity for it, focusing on the hand crafted artisanal elements of the brand. I really enjoyed this, especially painting the baked goods!

For the Spring Equinox, I sat in my mum's garden and drew the view. You can see it at the top of this page just over some Stardew Valley fan art! It's been really nice listening to the bird song and seeing how the light changes and the movement of the leaves. A good way to spend the day. 💚

My sketchbook pages from Queerying The Armouries that I went to last week. The first spread was sketched live, with the paint added a little later. The second spread was collaged at the event, with the badges being drawn in the pub after, and the page at home based on references taken at the event 🏳️‍🌈

The Opening Act of Spring My latest piece inspired by a trip to pub last year on the first unequivocally nice day of the year, where it seems everyone came out to do the same thing. Bless the staff for having to put up with the sudden swell of people. Painted with gouache and gansai watercolours.

I Am Present One of the pieces of advice I got when I was doing therapy for CFS was to try engaging in mindfulness; and yeah, I'll be real, it didn't cure it. I didn't expect it to. But it helped, oh gosh it helped. This piece is a celebration of that, for me at least. #illustration

Little painting I did for myself in between some bigger projects. Based off a monument in a church I visited a couple of years ago. It was super fun working with all the greens and the textures on the grave. Done with a mixture of watercolours and pencil!

View Over The Valley. This painting is based off a view near me, naturally, loved working with the autumnal colours and creating a little space for two people and their dogs to live 🧡

Big projects and commission work means I haven't been able to share much art lately, so have some recent Sketchbook Exploration. Pinterest People & Intriguing Japanese Cocktails. This is a nice colourful spread and some much needed gentleness amongst the bigger stuff.

The Journey Back This is a piece I've been meaning to do for a while, based on long coach journeys back after being somewhere. I also let the acoustic version of "Smiling At Strangers On Trains" dictate the mood of this piece <3 Done with watercolours, gouache, and pencil crayons.

Dearly Beloved Rival An image created for the game Empire LRP, featuring my character and... well, her dearly beloved rival following their dreams at the cost of each other's. Created in the art style of two nations in the game, made using watercolour, gouache, pencil crayons, and mica pigments.

Upside down, we have a man surrounded by rooks, sailing towards a burning series of islands, with one untouched in the middle. They are joined by a light blue force that connects them, with small figures of the two of them dancing on both sides, with a circular labyrinth symbol in the middle. Above the woman is a golden sun, above the man is a red comet. There are small constellations visible in the force that connects them.

Same as the previous image but it is flipped so that the man on the boat is the upright figure.

Perspective Check This is a painting of the Koko Head Trail in Hawai'i, I was super inspired by all the shades of green, straight lines, and yeah, the sudden change in perspective - Based off a photo from my partner. Done with gouache paints.

Been super busy with projects and big paintings, so I went back to basics with this one, as a treat. This is our neighbour's cat (who we call Moo Cat) looking up into some flowers opposite our house. I saw him doing it the other day and had an urge to make it into an illustration. 🌼🦋🌼

Page in my Sketchbook This on the right hand side of the spread, and the whole sketchbook spread is just stuff I have saved and wanted to draw/paint over the years but never got around to doing. It was something I really needed 🥰 But yeah, really like this page, hoping you do too!

Latest Painting! It's based off a place near to where I live where there's just this straight up adorable house with a car park as its entrance and surrounded by industrial buildings. I've wanted to do this since 2021 and I finally decided to just go ahead and give it a go. Hope folk like!

I haven't shared a sketchbook spread in a while (mainly because they're a bother to photograph), but have one I finished today from my trip to Nottingham last month!

This morning I've been doing some video editing and discovered that when I was filming the final shots of the sketchbook page for Queering The Armouries, you can hear what I am listening to, which was "Remember Me - d4vd" (the track used in Arcane), quite profound given everything in the world.

Painting based off a photo taken in Hawai'i featuring one of my partner's favourite places from her visit, done for her birthday! I really enjoyed working on this, it's been so long since I've done just a straight up landscape and it was really nice to work on an environment I am less used to.
