The "Appeal to Common Sense" fallacy, a.k.a. an Argument from Incredulity, occurs when someone asserts that a claim is true or false simply because it aligns with or contradicts their personal expectations or what they perceive as "common sense," without providing evidence or logical reasoning. 👇

My takeaway on his essay is that Pete is tacitly preparing for a full-scale run for POTUS in 2028. This is the right decision, as being a Michigan Senator would be a time & resource distraction for him. And while I won't commit to fully embracing him as my #1 candidate for '28, he's up there.

3/10 🇺🇸 Women's History Month Spotlight: Dolores Huerta is a 🇺🇸 labor leader & feminist activist. She worked to improve social & economic conditions for farm workers & immigrants. Huerta created the Agricultural Workers Assoc. (AWA) & co-founded the United Farm Workers (UFW). She's still active @ 94.

Why don't we have a resistance exemplar who will rise from the masses & lead us *NOW* to fight against the Trump~Musk fascist dismantling of 🇺🇸 democracy? It's simple. None of our leaders are willing to risk being arrested or imprisoned - like MLK, Mandela or Ghandi - for their activist leadership.

3/9 🇺🇸 Women's History Month Spotlight: Elizabeth Peratrovich was an 🇺🇸 civil rights activist, Grand President of the Alaska Native Sisterhood & a Tlingit who worked for equality on behalf of Alaska Natives. Her advocacy was instrumental in the passing of Alaska's Anti-Discrimination Act of 1945.

One of the more inane things you may have forgotten about Trump's 1st admin ... was his fixation on rebranding & revitalizing the asbestos market. Now, his new #2 EPA guy, David Fotouhi (waiting Senate approval), is pro-chrysotile (asbestos' rebranded name) & wants it back in the American economy.
