I think they just used a REALLY crappy out of date AI model because I put the original image into the free version of chatgpt with the prompt "can you upscale this image please" and I got this:

Asking the hard questions here
Search for "mismanagement" giving zero results, as per usual for puff pieces about management doing their best work for the workers they absolutely 100% care for

It's cool that Jason offers zero pushback on that line and just copy-pastes what the boss said to him, really hard-hitting journalism on display
Even before the public controversy, Red Dead Redemption II’s development was “a real moment for Rockstar to look at itself,” says Kolbe, the head of publishing. “We all looked at each other and said, ‘We’re not doing it again like this.’” In emails and conversations with employees, she and the other leaders at Rockstar vowed that the next Grand Theft Auto would be different. “I said, ‘We’re not going to finish this game by crunching,’” Kolbe recalls. Throwing more people at the game was one solution. Recalibrating expectations for the speed of tasks was another, as was more rigorous scheduling and monitoring of progress. Rockstar also implemented policies offering paid time off in exchange for extra hours worked and, in some cases, additional pay. “It’s not been perfect, but it’s certainly better than Red Dead II was,” Kolbe says. “Anytime I say we haven’t crunched, someone is going to say, ‘I did.’ And I don’t want to get into arguments with individual teams or individual people. But I think we did things differently, and I’m proud of that.”’

Literally forcing people to work extra hours for food and no extra pay. That's crunch "Oh, we did a town hall and let everyone decide if they want to" That's how you do crunch! You are forcing people to either accept it or betray the team at the final stretch You are a bitch-ass manager
The studio also provided two free meals per day, and increased flexi time by two hours.

Guy who's entire job is to not let that happen is on record bitching about letting it happen and being called out for being a bad manager
Much of last week's outcry targeted Brammer specifically, with some questioning his leadership of the studio.

"I really don't agree with the 'it's just bad management and bad production' argument against crunch," he says. "That is such a bullshit mentality. Making a new IP is hard, especially with new tech – we helped make some of the things in Unreal Engine 5, we're at the cutting edge. When things don't quite work how we want, we can't always go, 'oh, we'll delay the game a month.' That's just not how it works."

That's because Youtube changed how they calculate views
Starting August 24, a YouTube view registers the moment a video begins to play. The older, stricter count survives in analytics as 'engaged views.'

It's not like they started hastily updating the Steam page for The Holy Fool to remove stuff pointed out in a Reddit post accusing them from AI generated to in-game assets Or had a trailer with VO similar to the one holyfool was using in his videos video.fastly.steamstatic.com/store_traile...

Yeah well there's a problem with that in an era of AI slop, steam limits you to 100 creators for some fucking reason

Error
There was a problem trying to ignore the Steam Curator. Possible issues:
You cannot ignore a curator you already follow.
You can only ignore upto 100 curators at a time
Limited accounts cannot ignore a curator

A lot of big, mostly white men, accounts on here have problem with this basic online decorum Especially grating to see one specific dude on here who lived through gamergate and saw his colleagues at Kotaku get attacked by hate mob continue to quote dunk smaller accounts who dare to disagree w\ him
A reminder, if you're even a moderately big account -- *never, ever*, no matter how stupid you think a take is, quote-skeet it to dunk it. Past a certain size account (a size I'm past and I'm far from a big account) doing this will ruin someone's day or possibly life, for no benefit to you

The tweet by Bethesda about it is hilarious because both remasters, Fallout 5 and continued development of TES 6 are all buried below what studio actually considers important Which is Starfield and Paid mods
STARFIELD CONTINUES

With over 17 million players logging almost a billion hours to date, Starfield remains an important part of our future. As we enter Year 3, we'll continue expanding the Settled Systems with new stories, targeted gameplay improvements, and additional updates, while preparing for the launch of new Starborn content next year. More than 40% of players already customize their experience through Creations, and we'll continue investing in creators and giving players new ways to make Starfield their own.

CREATED BY PLAYERS

We've believed from the beginning that our worlds belong not only to the people who make them, but also to the people who play them. That's why we've long provided players with the tools to create their own experiences, dating back to the Morrowind Construction Set. This year marked another major milestone for Creations with its expansion to Fallout 4, joining Skyrim and Starfield. We're proud to say Creators have already earned more than $10 million in royalties from their work.

Everyone who writes pesky "Here's how Xbox can turn things around" articles is an enemy and a fucking bootlicker who shouldn't have a job People have been working for 2 whole decades to bring you best games they can, and their reward was a 1-minute call telling them to fuck off. Write about that!
Those meetings were all swiftly ended. One source claimed the call announcing the widespread layoffs at Doom developer id Software—where 136 people assigned to the studio's office in Texas were let go—lasted under 60 seconds. In the instance of id Software, specifically, we're told those being laid off were asked not to come into the office on Monday so late in the day that many had already begun their commute. An Outlook invite was purportedly sent to impacted staff at id Software around 10 minutes before the meeting, hosted by studio boss Marty Stratton, was due to commence. Some people didn't make the call.

Just take a look at Call of Duty and do that, but for RPGs You are an idiot, you are incompetent to a point where you are actively making things worse by putting that shit in an article. If you didn't exist, the world of videogames coverage would be marginally better
It’s clear that something needs to be done about that, and Xbox already has the necessary talent, resources and template to do so in-house. Take a look at Call of Duty, which has long been able to create annual offerings by having multiple studios, spearheaded by Infinity Ward and Treyarch, all working on different games at the same time on three-ish year development cycles. A similar “development circle” of RPG studios
