Yeah @shadssnep.bsky.social works at Home Depot here, and she had to nearly get in a fight with her management to have a couple of stools in the dept she ran at the time, because they had herself and another guy that had trouble standing for long periods because of medical stuff. It’s ludicrous.

Damn, just heard they sent the final A-10 warthog from the weapons school at Nellis down to the AMARG storage “boneyard” in Arizona. When I worked F-15’s on the flightline at Nellis in the early 00’s, I was two units down from the A-10’s so would see them all the time. Sad to hear.

Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 over for us. 🙂 It was alright in some ways, not worth the cost in others. Glad we did it at least once though to say we got to experience it. 😊 Good trip overall, other than having to do it on a still severely injured ankle.

So @shadssnep.bsky.social and I got our first compound bows through a work colleague of mine who was selling his old one and his daughters. Shads’ is even in her favorite color, so that was a bonus. 😊 Just got mine back from the archery shop after being set up. Just gotta get em dialed in now.

Nothing broken, thank goodness. Just really hurt a ligament apparently. So some good drugs, ice it, stay off it (Disney lol), and press on til it calms down. Guess it could have been worse.

Haha, the first time I took Shads to DL Cali in June 2018 I told her she needed to wear sunscreen, especially as she was wearing a sleeveless dress. My concern was met with “I’ll be fine”. She was not, in fact, fine. 😅 She was more like a candy cane with a British accent afterward. 😋
