Every time you see a real headline (left) that glibly anthropomorphises LLMs, substituting it with a salad makes the point clear: it's a form of the exonerative tense. It's the AI version of headlines that announce an "officer-involved shooting."

Every time I see a photo of Sam Altman it makes me think the Xenomorphs from Aliens were so appalled by Carter Burke's conduct that they put him on trial instead of cocooning him for the facehuggers to impregnate.

The time is nearly perfect for a movie about the famously chaotic and dramatic 1976 production of Star Wars, starring Ewan McGregor as Alec Guinness and Hayden Christiansen as David Prowse.

That stories detail the composition of Grand Juries to reassure readers everything was fair and above-board is interesting because the underlying problem is Grand Juries being manipulated by prosecutors ("indict this ham sandwich") not the wrong people being on them abcnews.com/US/criminal-...

The premise is impossible, as stated, as there isn't enough water in the ice caps to raise sea levels 7500m, as is implied. But I wanted to see what that would look like, so there you go, based on topographical data published by NASA.
What's left when the sea level goes up 7500 squiggles? The Tibetan Archipelagos

I thought it was a tragedy that we have technology that makes such beautiful writing, yet we keep trying to "humanize" it. So I made a handy Dehumanizer service to restore human-generated text to the elegant synthetic mean. dehumanizer.net

Obviously omitting a zero baseline is fine, but compare the AP's chart (left) to "the same chart but it actually goes to zero" (right). They chose a baseline above the points they were going to plot! No shame whatsoever.

A funny sign of a human writer! I don't think an LLM would say this because it's a truthy human thing, these shows never got near the top 20 on network TV and had maybe 2 watchable seasons each, the magic happened in endless cable tv reruns.
Screenshot of text saying "At the time, television was dominated by two major vehicle-based action series: Knight Rider and Airwolf."
