Seriously though this week saw my resource usage creep up almost twofold as a direct result of exploring new tools and techniques- much excite! I'm at the point now where my RTX 5080 is essentially running at capacity for both compute and VRAM. Guess I found a use case for a 5090 lmao ;~;...

SO MUCH TECH THIS WEEK! I completely rebuilt my Dual Format canvas using insights from my first two mobile streams, FIXED my pishock (Massive TY to @mxpuffin.bsky.social 4 support !), and further optimized the whole setup. What I managed to squeeze in between work/sleep/3x streams shocks me X3

- clip shoutouts - redeems - onscreen graphical events - transitions - opening/closing credits and info - ...and much more I've made it all work (and fit) in parity across both horizontal and vertical canvases! Desktop guided the mobile redesign and vice versa- has been an interesting process🐺👍

Berymuch🍁 @berymuch.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Hope yall are well! Work is busy, but I've been plugging away at the dual format redesign in the mornings/evenings. Happy to share that the dual format vertical is now at function parity with desktop. No matter how you hold your phone, you will not miss out. Can't wait to share with ya live Friday

I couldn't decide what to draw the other day. So I decided to make this random judgemental/concerned doodle for @berymuch.bsky.social Then I decided to try and make it talk at the suggestion of a friend.

Two bust up images of a male wolf furrybwith a judgemental/concerned expression. The one on the left isnlooking away and not speaking. The one on the right is looking at the viewer and speaking.

OH RIGHT! BIG CON - dual format streaming hits your system resources HARD (15%~ GPU/CPU/RAM spike on my 5080/9950X3D/96GB DDR5) don't plan on playing modern PC games at any degree of fidelity unless you're running a dual PC setup or capturing gameplay from a console.

Berymuch🍁 @berymuch.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I think it's here to stay so long as twitch allows me to use it! Really liked what I saw yesterday. It's worth it If only just for the improvement to the quality of my desktop stream, but due to the plugin jank it won't be as polished (until maybe they fix it). Lotta extra work but p cool~

020

Berymuch🍁 @berymuch.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

The thing that surprised me was the overall quality of my desktop stream improving due to having access to the higher bitrate limits. I think the meta is make the mobile layout simple to minimize the bitrate hit = improve desktop quality. Shouts 2 #VNyan 4 the spout2 virtual cams in the new update!

020

Berymuch🍁 @berymuch.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

So! Dual Format streams Cons: - You need to create a whole new stream layout (you also keep your old one) - Plugin is weird & the sources aren't visible by any management software - Things are kinda jank overall Pros: - 14kbps~ bitrate! (vs 9kbps w/enhanced broadcasting) - A cool mobile experience
