i've never played mighty no.9 But i did just try using one of these older steam controllers to play Boltgun today. its tricky but only cos my muscle memory is so bad. Also its difficult cos my eyes arn't great anymore and my tv is probably too small, given how far away it is from the couch!

But 9 isn't enough. Titanfall 1 and 2 turned me into a competitive FPS player. I kind a missed the whole quake 3 online era, only ever played them on LAN at a friends house. Along with Unreal and UT99. Came back to Elite with Elite Dangerous and put in 2400 hours flying FAO. God theres too many.

My first game was Lazy jones. The missing image is for Cannon Fodder on Amiga. Street fighter represents all the fighting games I've played over the years. I've always liked games that are experimental like Captive or Forever Winter. Despite my age i love trying new things.

aye and i don't care. cos its true, many just are bad. But not tank controls. If you struggle with tank controls, try playing that game with a fighting stick. a digital joystick makes tank control work quite well. I've played though both dino crisis games this way. truth is old game can be bad.

God no haha. I can't go back. I have about 10k hours in the old monster hunters across four different games. World broke them for me. Its too perfect. They FIXED EVERYTHING that was wrong with the old games. And Wilds made me try weapons i never bothered with. Still... never gonna use IG

I don't play them now cos so many of them were just bad. I played TONS of games. But very few have i gone back to and thought WOW. I got to play TIME PILOT in an actual arcade recently. This was something i played on keyboard on a Tatung Einstein. Keyboard was hard mode compared to joystick.

Genuinely bad controls can be off putting. I've gone back to loads of games now I played as a kid or teen and young adult and i genuinely can't work out how i even played them cos the controls are so bad. Its quite funny actually. Tank control with Dpad... ugh. but use a fighting stick?, YES!
