I think the animations are lacking in this game, its one of the few real things that kind of bug me about it. But im hoping that it gets fleshed out later, I really have been having fun playing it but as a big legacy player the animations kind of kill me lol.

Have you seen simulation princess sims 2 vs paralives videos? They really paint the picture. I have been enjoying paralives but I think it's, its own thing and can't really be compared to sims 2.

Paralives tip: don’t forget to enable “ceiling cast shadows” In the settings. For some reason it’s turned off by default which makes direct sunlight go through ceilings and makes indoor lighting plainer.
