I've had two colposcopies and was not given any kind of sedation or pain medication for either. My friend was going over her medical history this morning and she was sedated for hers in Türkiye. So now I'm just a ball of anger remembering my incredibly painful and uncomfortable experiences.

In the last 3 days, my washing machine broke, I got my final unemployment check, applied to approx 50 jobs, and the dude I'd been seeing for 4 months "reconnected" with an old friend so we're done. Plus all the shit happening in both my countries. Cool. I'm drinking now.

I highly recommend having close friends in different timezones. Great for having breakdowns. Or those unhinged thoughts at any time of day that really shouldn't see the light of day (aka the internet) but you neeeeed to get out of your brain.

I just did a screening for a job that's basically 2 jobs rolled into one at the director level and 2021 Berrak screamed at me to remind me I did that once and it broke me. So anyway, someone, hire me to do some writing or data entry or something. Or buy my photos.

Nothing wakes me up from deep sleep like my cat dry heaving. Except in Istanbul, sometimes it's a street cat outside my window and my cat is looking at me like I'm crazy when I'm calling her name as I jump out of bed in the middle of the night.

Ugh, I hate a remake. Go home, plague, we've already dealt with an outbreak this decade.

Farrah hasn't played with a hair tie since I brought her to Istanbul and I caught her playing with one earlier but I couldn't get it on video. When she does little things like that, it makes me so happy after all the trauma she's been through the last 2 years.

Picture this: You're at a chateau in France at a camp with 40+ women on and on the second day, you bond with the two who noticed the baby with abs in one of the many paintings around the chateau. I always draw the weird out and I love it. Though I'm still convinced this is not an actual toddler.

Serious question about mutual aid: Are people more likely to give when it's a direct ask for money versus someone asking if you could help by supporting something they're creating (Newsletter, photos, etc)? Really trying to understand the psychology of it. Because the need is the same.

Thinking about different ways to use my photos and exploring 2027 wall calendars. Would people be interested in a calendar with scenes from around Istanbul (not necessarily touristy spots)? Or I can go very niche with a calendar full of seagulls or street cats. Or the tulips from the Skagit Valley.
