Nitrogen update: Judge Marks' permanent injunction against nitrogen asphyxiation as a method of execution stands for now. SCOTUS denies a stay of injunction. Mr. Jeffery Lee is alive and will not be executed tonight. The case may proceed to appeal at the Eleventh Circuit, if the state pursues this.

Nitrogen gas update: the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta has affirmed that nitrogen gas asphyxiation is an unconstitutional method of execution, by a vote of two to one, and denied any stay of the permanent injunction. So nitrogen gas is unconstitutional as per the Eleventh Circuit panel.
