We’re celebrating! 5 yrs ago today I resigned my position as a professor to become a full-time writer despite all who told me I was crazy to let go of the university-supplied security. With health insurance through my spouse and his emotional support, I made the leap. Best. Decision. Ever.

Such a beautiful time of the year. Snow still on the mountains but the trails are dry, 69 degrees. The air is absolutely crystalline. How did I ever get so lucky? I know the world is a mess, but every moment of joy is worth counting.
