Roger was no stranger to the spotlight, often performing at local events and bringing joy to every occasion. In honour of #WorldBalletDay, we thought we would share this wonderful photo of Roger dressed as a ballet dancer. 🩰

We love this image of one of the Reading horse-drawn trams that a work experience student recently found in volumes from the Berkshire branch of the Local History Recording Scheme. The photograph was taken by C.B Wilcocks, a Caversham architect, who was heavily involved with the scheme.
Black and white photograph showing a horse -drawn tram with an advert for Quaker Oats on the side.
Description under photograph readds: The above photograph is of one of the old horse trams which were replaced by electric trams in 1903. It was taken on 25.4.03 in Wokingham Road, near Crescent Road junction, after the rails had been re-laid for the electric trams.

For #EYAErased we thought we'd share this will from 1568 recently produced from our strongrooms for an enquirer. The dirt is so ingrained into this piece of parchment that we have to be careful when cleaning it as ink sits on top of the parchment and could be easily erased! #ExploreYourArchive
A will on parchment with a small, dark red wax seal attached to the bottom edge. The left end of the parchment is dirty and the writing illegible in this area.
