In the coming Smial, we’ll discuss Liminality, Borders and Transitions in Tolkien’s legendarium. Challenging concept for non-academic backgrounds at first, but I’ll do my best to get people to enjoy the possibilities it offers🙏🏻 AND we have a guest😉 @lady-of-andunie.bsky.social

I just got a hold of dear @teawithtolkien.com Kaitlyn’s book. I’m planning to come up with a personal development diary & calender for our Smial attendees with the wonderful, insightful Hobbity ideas inside the book🙂 Of course referring to Kaitlyn whom most our attendees now know🫶🏻

Today we did a late Tolkien Reading Day at our Smial under this year’s theme: Unlikely Heroes! Lots of people read their Tolkien for over 3 hours and we all had soo much fun! This was everyone’s 1st ever experience of a group reading😃

We met Tolkienists from around the world at @tolkiensociety.org ‘s Tolkien Reading Day online event to read passages of our Unlikely Heroes. We made new friends and built bridges. I was lucky to meet Peter Be1mont, Ty Harnar and other precious Tolkien fans. Happy Tolkien Reading Day😊
