Some observations on how heavily Nashville emphasize creating overloads horizontally and vertically to exploit space all over the pitch at Geodis Park. www.sixonefivesoccer.com/how-nashvill...

Digging into some tape on Nashville SC, this type of goal is a great example of how they play. Huge overloads in the attacking third, able to win back possession quickly and defend in transition (thanks to Woledzi), and immediately back to overloads in the final third.

Miami’s loss to Columbus means that Nashville SC have a 14-point lead in the East with seven games left. Vancouver’s draw gives Nashville a 10-point lead in the Supporters’ Shield race, while the ‘Caps have a game in hand. Fantastic weekend of results for the ‘Yotes.

Our second-ever media pickup game was a blast... except for our team getting absolutely smoked and injuring myself five minutes in. Otherwise a great time! 📸 @cmoorestoryteller.bsky.social

Nashville SC need 14 points from their remaining seven games (three home, four away) to hit 75 points and break the single-season points record. Through 27 games, they're averaging 2.22 points per game. Need 2.14 over their final seven.

This is such a well-worked goal from Nashville. Won back possession, immediately forced Chicago to drop their line, and pulled them apart with 17 passes. Exceptional stuff.

Entirely deserved halftime lead for Nashville, but this definitely feels like one where they’ll more than a single goal to win it. Plenty of chances to add to the lead, have to take them in the second half.

Nashville have been 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 Chicago so far tonight with 85% field tilt through 30 minutes and creating chances like this. Can't find the finish yet. Can't afford to waste many more.

Hard to criticize the Fire's decision to sign Robert Lewandowski, but they're pressing a lot less and struggling a lot more defensively without Hugo Cuypers. With Cuypers: 0.75 GA/game (6th), 0.97 xGA/game (5th) With Lewandowski: 1.40 GA/game (21st), 1.15 xGA/game (11th)

Sources: Nashville SC are loaning midfielder Charles-Émile Brunet to St. Louis City through the 2026 season. Brunet, 22, was the 80th pick of the 2025 SuperDraft and has made 7 appearances for Nashville. Gets the chance for more regular minutes in a good STL team.

The Crew may have lost to Nashville last night, and their roster is in serious need of some added quality, but I'm really happy to see them return to some of Wilfried Nancy's principles under Laurent Courtois, particularly how he uses Steven Moreira.
