I don't want to call it out since it's not their fault but for some reason every time one, and only one, of the things I'm interested in updates it shows me a tons of reposts from people I don't follow to the point where it makes that thing less interesting. Need a button to fix that.

Not going to get too big a head about it since I’m the one who broke it in the first place, but I might’ve repaired something on my truck for $10 that the dealership quoted me $1,045. It was a little annoying to do but was honestly barely more complex than like sewing a button. $1,045.

I've been regressing a bit recently and watching drag races on the carwow YouTube channel. They aren't scientifically conducted by any stretch, but I think it's a useful enough example of how going every second faster in the 1/4 mile costs tens of thousands of dollars. Not worth it!

I skipped the “Games That Made Me” prompt the last two times it came around but third time’s the charm. Nothing obscure or surprising really but a couple asterisks: Quake and HL are both great on their own AND include a ton of generation-defining mods. MGS3 is a stand-in for the series at large.

Love that no matter how many iOS updates there are they will never fix the thing where you can slide an email to the left to delete/archive it only for the list to refresh and change what email you’re manipulating. Halfway through swiping away junk mail? Surprise! Now it’s an appointment reminder.

What happened here between Honda and Toyota? What kind of evolutionary process leads to two different but the same designs?

A 2026 Toyota GR86 with angled headlights and a large square grill.

A 2026 Honda CRV with similar angled headlights and a smaller and little bit more trapezoidal grill while still being reminiscent of the GR86.

A 2026 Toyota Prius in red with c shaped sharp headlights and trapezoidal hood with a defined leading edge which terminates into a thin grill above the license plate holder.

A 2026 Honda Prelude in red angled features similar to the Prius though with a split grill.

One thing that annoys me about “games should or shouldn’t need a remake!” discourse is that it is almost entirely console focused while there are potentially dozens of old PC games that were ambitious but the devs never got the core idea to fully work or the game has an ancient control scheme.

I’m an older man now, wiser in some ways. One way I’m probably not though is thinking that if someone needs a car then the base vehicle should be an electric Miata. You should have to fill out a lengthy form in order to prove you need anything bigger than that.
