Any time a heavy band says their new record is both their "heaviest" and "most accessible" material to date, I should be allowed to spray them with a hose. It's the only way they'll learn.

Man, this is a band I haven't thought about in years, but they were probably the closest spiritual successor to Refused that we ever got and didn't appreciate enough.

Bitwarden is where it's at. Open source and AFAIK non-problematic leadership-wise. Failing that, a notebook or a scroll or a whiteboard are all fine choices.

Thought this new Zao sounded a lot like old Zao, and then learned that makes sense because its a collection of covers from old mid-90s Christian HXC bands. Some solid JNCO-era metalcore: officialzao.bandcamp.com/album/pillars

Do I know anyone (or know someone who knows someone) who'd want to buy two Menzingers/Hot Water Music tickets for their Minneapolis show in October? HWM just announced a local (Fargo) date on the same tour and so I'm looking to sell the MPLS tickets for what we paid (or minus taxes and fees).

Every time I think I can speedrun an article I'm writing, I re-learn the lesson that no, I can't. There's no shortcut to bypass the necessary processes of thinking and revising, and it's essential for the craft to allow time and space for that work.

They did the same thing when Love was drafted: 1. Say something inflammatory. 2. Swing by the discourse and kick the hive once a day. 3. Watch your engagement and follower count skyrocket. Some of that "analysis" is so poor, it feels like it just has to be intentionally baiting a response.
