What I want from Strange New Worlds: we already know the Story of Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and Scotty. I want Una to get her own command with La'an as her first officer and Erica there as well. Maybe as early as next episode since S5 will be focused on Kirk's rise to the chair.

The Lightweight Fighter Competition was originally supposed to a joint project. The Air Force ignored all input from the Navy and selected the YF-16. The Navy then worked with Northrop and McDonell Douglas to rework the far more suitable YF-17 Cobra into the F/A-18 Hornet.

I didn't think I was going to like this episode, but I ended up loving it. I think the difference between this and some other theme episodes is the real emotional stakes. This was an Anson Mount masterpiece.

The biggest problem with Android isn't the devices or the operating system, they're both fantastic. It's the downfall is the app ecosystem which is not as good as what's on iOS. Developers are the ones holding Apple up, not the opposite.

I'm with @seanferrick.bsky.social here. If this would have been a Short Trek or a segment of an episode with things changing up like the lower decks finale, I probably would have enjoyed it. This didn't have the right stuffing to be a full episode.

I'll say this for my Pixel 8A expiriment: I don't know if it's how much Android has crept into iOS or vice versa, but Android 17 is a far far better experience than my previous android tries were. The transfer to Android tools work extremely well.

With today's launch of Madden NFL 27 Arcade edition on Apple Arcade, Apple TV is now the least expensive TV console you can play Madden on. EA did not do this out of the goodness of their hearts, so Apple would have had to pay a pretty penny for this to happen.

The other interesting thing is if the Operation Next Step dates would be canonized, the USS Walker would have been laid down at the end of Archer's presidency. A subplot about gathering support to replace the aging NX and Daedalus- classes could be interesting while linking to Discovery.

000

Ben Roethig @benroethig.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

We also know she canonically gained the secondary hull and the USS prefix, which to our knowledge is reserved for Federation Starfleet vessels. To me this either suggests that Riker programmed the holodeck wrong or more likely she was refit and rechristened USS Enterprise for Federation service.

@trekculture.bsky.social @seanferrick.bsky.social One thing about the NX-01 from the United video. We know that Enterprise was decommissioned from United Earth Starfleet service in 2161 in the original single hull configuration of These are the Voyages is a true depiction. (Cont)

I've been thinking about the Voth after this one. Just because the Hadrosaurus evolved on Earth didn't mean the Voth did. I'm getting to be of the opinion that a Hadrosaur population was taken from Earth and millions of years later they evolved into the Voth in the delta quadrant.
