“The production of accessible versions requires additional time” The published paper is a nicely laid up PDF full of images. But text in an HTML page will take too long to wait. I’m aware this is a niche tweet even by my standards.
Please note that further accessible formats will be published in due course. We have published this paper ahead of all accessible versions to put detailed information about measures aimed at reducing child poverty in the public domain at the earliest opportunity, although the production of accessible versions requires additional time.

@borderlinesff.bsky.social is a great film festival that takes place each year across loads of venues in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Powys. I'm very happy to be able to help them in a small way by creating an interactive map of all screenings likeaword.github.io/borderlines2...
Map shows dots with numbers on against a pale map. One dot has a pop-up which shows a still from the film "Soudtrack to a Coup d'Etat"

I think this is right (though admittedly I have Hereford College of Art in my ward). Even in tech we need more design and creative skills. Triumph of the orcs: why Britain needs more Games Workshops on.ft.com/4glmLZS (£)

Still digesting @foundationsofthedigitalstate.com's report but this footnote is something I'm going to start quoting everywhere
In a previous life I ran an ML/AI tools team at a top internet presence. I did customer research on my internal customers and came back with a small pile and a big pile. The small pile said if we could shift metric X up by Y% then we would see a Z uplift in our revenue line. We think ML/AI applied to this, that and the other data could help us do it.
The large pile said I don’t like my job and want your brainbox space robots to do it forme. There are a number of areas on political life where AI is being proposed to magically wish away hard problems
