I'd been so burned out at work that I didn't have the energy to paint anything for months. I broke that streak this week with some tiny robots and tonks for Battletech; the start of a little mercenary unit for a campaign in my FLGS. I finished a project at last! Here are some Darktide-inspired Kasrkin for Killteam, straight outta Tertium #nerdlings #minipainting #warhammer40k

A squad of ten kasrkin commandos, in dark red fatigues and charcoal armour, carrying an assortment of special weapons. They stand on rusted metal catwalks, with fallen pieces of technology and machinery scattered at their feet. The walkways are slick with otherworldly filth and mucus. Tertium's underhive is no sane place to be.

Been a while, hey. Combination of Life and also not having produced anything I felt worth Posting. But I have been working on two firsts for me - a bust and NMM metals, both the same figure. Here's the sword (you'll have to expand the image because I am Bad at social media) #nerdlings #wip

A sheathed sword in 1:12 scale, in a linen- and leather-wrapped scabbard collared in bronze, with steel crossguard and pommel. A brown leather strap is wrapped around the hilt. This is the intent, anyway.

An Hospitaller from the Order of Our Martyred Lady seconded to the Adamant Heart. She is ministering to an injured sister of the latter Order while doves carry holy scripture past them both. Not a particularly efficient method of information transport, in my opinion.

The base diorama for a Sister Hospitaller miniature. An injured sister militant is lying on the ground, reaching plaintively towards the viewer. She has been shot twice in the abdomen, and a pool of fresh blood is staining the desert beneath her. Her glove is coated in the same. If she's lucky, she'll receive the sort of Emperor's Mercy from the hospitaller that means she gets to keep fighting.

A penitent engine for warhammer 40k. It's arms end in combination circular saws and flamethrowers, as it runs across a desert base. The man strapped to the front of it is wearing purple trousers, but is otherwise having a terrible time. Flames belch from exhausts at the top of the machine.

Eredin Bréacc Glas, King of the Wild Hunt. Mini from the Old World board game. I was stunned to discover, on looking up reference images, that his armour was not black and silver as I recalled from the Witcher 3, but red, brass, and green. Like an angry santa.

Cursed City has been a fun way of introducing my friends to warhammer without asking them to buy in for hundreds of pounds when they're time-poor to get it playable. Also the minis are fantastic. I just wish I could find a Blackstone Fortress box to accidentally nudge them at 40k too..

Watch Captain Halgrim, cloaked in red, with rusted black armour and weapons, and patinated bronze accents. I don't know why a skeleton has hair or need of an eye patch, but here we are.

Ulfenkarn City Watch banner bearer, with heraldry of crossed keys. Or, possibly scissors if you squint. I aimed at "close enough to box art" that I wouldn't have to think too hard and also be able to churn through them all in a reasonable time.

The shambling/rattling assemblage of the Watch, with the cheerleader effect in full swing. The basing on all my cursed city models are very rudimentary - a side effect of painting these things for myself but under a deadline.

Another #wip after losing motivation for a few days. Gave the armour a glaze with (appropriately) VMC ultramarine and I'm much happier with the colour. I'll tidy up gradients later #nerdlings #miniatures

A Perfect Grade mobile suit gundam, with half of the armour panels in mounted so as to display the underlying plastic and metal articulated frame. A thing of beauty from a more civilised age.

Went to mcm comic con in London on Saturday and had a great time meeting a couple of friends and Actual Community Youtubers (the likes of Peachy, Suggs, and Painting Coach Lloyd with the voice of Balthazar Gold). I think I also accidentally joined the Bandai creator program

I painted my dnd group a couple of years back and sent the first four to the other players. The half-dragon down there is only so short bc I had everyone else printed in 54mm,but I couldn't find a good STL for her so had to get a physical one
