Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 11/03/2025What will be the moat going forward? Looks like only distribution (audience) will provide a competitive advantage? 150
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 28/02/2025Excited to see what the community will build around this. I loved Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, and Red Alert 2. Need to figure out how I can play these 4 on a Mac :) 120
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 07/02/2025Indeed, if they send too many emails out, include a lot of irrelevant stuff, or are too salesy, I tend to unsubscribe as well :) 140
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 06/02/2025Depends on the product. If I use it, sure. I want to know what changed and how it improved. If I don't use it (anymore), I unsubscribe. 260
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 20/01/2025I'm using ProtonMail and I'm very happy with it. The only annoyance is that their calendar doesn't support two-way sync. So I can subscribe to the calendar and see the events in my calendar app but I can't create new events outside of Proton Calendar. 140
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 13/01/2025Yeah self-hosted Ghost is an interesting option. I also want to use my own website/blog instead of the Substack/Kit pages. But it looks like you need Mailgun in order to send emails via self-hosted Ghost. Sounds easier to just use Loops, which I already use in some projects. 140
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 11/01/2025Yeah will be definitely different content and format. Still undecided. Considering something like Substack/Kit, Ghost or Loops. Not sure if the recommendation/discovery features of pure newsletter platforms like Substack/Kit are worth it. Can you recommend a platform? 140
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/01/2025The topics overlap a bit but my personal will be about me and my work while the erfindergeist.io newsletter will be generally about how AI can help solopreneurs build their empires (collection of AI tools, resources, strategies etc). Contemplating for a while now and I think this will be the setup. 150
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Good question. I'm considering two newsletters: 1) My personal (monthly) newsletter about my personal work, bets, and experiments (Solo-/Entrepreneurship, Bootstrapping, SaaS, Marketing) 2) Erfindergeist.io (weekly) newsletter focused on AI-powered solo-/entrepreneurserfindergeist.ioErfindergeist.io - Software development as a Service for web app MVPs, tools, and automationsYour go-to software development subscription, dedicated to turning visionary concepts into beautiful, effective digital products. 130
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 13/12/2024Essentially I like the ethics, values, and incentives a lot more in Remix than Next.js. Both are great frameworks tho. Here's a great article on this topic: www.epicweb.dev/why-i-wont-u...epicweb.devWhy I Won't Use Next.jsFrom the perspective of web standards to concerns about increasing complexity, Kent C. Dodds shares his opinions on why he won't use Next.js. 030
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 13/12/2024Remix is a lot easier and straightforward. It exposes official web APIs that you use anywhere on the web. Next.js is often a blackbox where a lot of magic happens. I also don't like how it's built to work in a serverless environment and some features only working with their hosting solution Vercel. 130
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 13/12/2024I use both. But yes, for newer projects I‘d rather use Remix/React Router than Next.js. Astro for content-heavy websites. 220
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 13/12/2024Next.js has too much "magic" involved and it uses their own utilities instead of exposing official web APIs directly. Knowledge isn't transferable to other frameworks. I also dislike this whole serverless bullshit. Great article on this topic: www.epicweb.dev/why-i-wont-u...epicweb.devWhy I Won't Use Next.jsFrom the perspective of web standards to concerns about increasing complexity, Kent C. Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 12/12/2024Hey Steve! I'd love to be in the starter pack! I'm building a SaaS (tradojo.com) and a web dev agency (erfindergeist.io).tradojo.comTradojo - Automated Trading Journal and Analytics for Crypto TradersUnleash the power of data-driven trading with Tradojo’s automated trading journal for crypto traders. Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Yeah I hate canned responses by BigTech that don't communicate anything and provide absolutely no value. 120
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 11/12/2024You are not allowed to use a trademark in your ads and as your domain includes "Steam" there is no way to advertize in accordance with their ToS. That's why they denied approval. 110
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Do you know about openwebui.com? Or other paid UIs (one-time fee) like TypingMind, BoltAI etc?openwebui.comOpen WebUIOpen WebUI is an extensible, self-hosted interface for AI that adapts to your workflow, all while operating entirely offline; Supported LLM runners include Ollama and OpenAI-compatible APIs. 020
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/12/2024The Discover feed has its own (private?) algorithm defined by Bsky. The Following feed has no algo and shows the posts chronologically. Unlike the Following feed on X. 120
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Same here. Building is so much more fun than marketing. 120
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/12/2024I have muted all servers and only allow @everyone on specific servers. Also users from most servers can't DM me. Those DM's that go through result in a notification. This way I don't receive unnecessary notifications. 030
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Why use a monthly plan instead of usage-based payments via API key? 110
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 10/12/2024That is indeed a great feature of a city. And dutch cities also provide the infrastructure for biking. Unfortunately many cities in other countries aren't that flat which makes biking a lot harder and less fun. 000
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 08/12/2024I'm building a trading journal and analytics SaaS (tradojo.com). Currently targeted at crypto (futures) traders but will expand to other asset classes as well in the future.tradojo.comTradojo - Automated Trading Journal and Analytics for Crypto TradersUnleash the power of data-driven trading with Tradojo’s automated trading journal for crypto traders. Elevate your strategies, improve your edge, and achieve sustainable profits. 110
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 07/12/2024According to the bsky team it takes a few days to see changes in the algo after clicking on "show less like this". It's not effective immediately. 030
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 06/12/2024I see. In this case I‘d communicate beforehand that focusing on speed in the beginning will lead to refactoring needs later on. 020
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 06/12/2024I try to refactor in the actual ticket. It increases the time I have worked on a feature but I don't have to explain why there is a separate refactoring ticket that has no visible result for the client. So instead of refactoring a lot in one go I try to add a refactoring step to each ticket. 120

Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 05/12/2024I think X purged a lot of bots recently. That's probably why you've lost "followers" but not real humans. 110

Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 01/12/2024I haven't played games in a long time haha. My last game was League of Legends. There aren't a lot of fast-paced FPS. Didn't know about The Finals but from watching a few gameplay videos I wouldn't say it's a fast-paced FPS. 110
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 01/12/2024I'd say: 1) Fast-paced First-Person-Shooter, FPS (like Quake, War§ow) 2) Strategy (like Command & Conquer, Anno, Settlers) 3) Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, MOBA (like League of Legends) 110
Benjamin @benjiminio.bsky.social · 01/12/2024Congrats Marc! Impressive results and great marketing :) 010
