Today’s thought: Modern headphones are notorious for performing terrible in windy weather conditions, resulting in a constant loud noise, even when noise cancelling is switched off (the little microphone inside). Were older headphones better or am I simply misremembering?

With the news that Affinity is now basically Canva, my bet is that it’s going to gradually move over to being a subscription service (at least to get the best out of it.) So now where do people go for design applications free from subscriptions? Are Inkscape and Gimp really the only options now?

I’ve discovered the interactive online whiteboard MIRO. A really great tool but yet it surprises me that you can’t get a similar tool as software, so you can locally host for multiple collaborators, instead of everything being behind a paywall.

DearVR has put out all its plugins for free, following the news that it’ll be developing under Sennheiser from now on. Am I the only one that doesn’t usually get end-of-line plugins? These are really powerful but putting defunct plugins into my workflow feels risky.

In a similar light as getting fed up seeing AI images everywhere, the ease of developing games in Unreal Engine is starting to show. So many games just look like copies of one another with the exact same gameplay.
