Don’t really use bluesky much anymore tbh but I’ll occasionally log on because I have notifications turned on for a couple of accounts

Got rejected for another job, this time after making it to the final round, an onsite interview for a company I really wanted to work for. Genuinely interested in what they do because I’m a consumer myself and put everything I had into it. It had everything I was looking for in a new opportunity too

So I got suspended off twitter. I barely post on there and just use it for entertainment accounts that haven’t made the switch to Bluesky. But apparently I’m impersonating myself or spamming

im so tempted to change my email signature to Best Wishes and Warmest Regards just for internal communication only, I wouldn't send this out to clients I contact lol

Like come on, I worked for an agency that helps amplify social change campaigns. I worked for a local event focused around sustainability and climate change Listen, I’m looking for a full-time job but I promise I’m really not that desperate

I posted on LinkedIn about a week ago that I was looking for full time roles because my LI network had grown a lot since the last time I posted about looking for new opportunities Well…apparently I only attract conservative adjacent opportunities for some reason?? We have officially lost the plot

If you’re a Paper Mario fan, I recommend playing Escape From Ever After literally just beat it and it was absolutely incredible. I didn’t think there’d be another Paper Mario inspired game that’s as good as Bug Fables, but EFEA delivered!

Cover art for Escape from Ever After. Features various characters in the game

The thing about it is that nobody actually cares. Her character wasn’t even exciting and her acting wasn’t that good. If they’re really trying that hard to appease her, give her a quick cameo and call it there Or literally do nothing because it’s not necessary

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

got another rejection email so I’ve decided to stop looking at LinkedIn and jobs for today

I cannot explain how excited I am for people to experience this game for the first time. Shuffling the OST right now

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

Exactly. the translucent limited editions models do look good though

000

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

That would be so cool. I have the pocket but I don’t really have much of an interest in the N64 one lol

I’m sad Ego Nwodim left SNL. she was genuinely my favorite cast member in the last few years Her shaking the whole table cutting a steak makes me laugh every time I see that sketch

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 13/09/2025

So this movie was great! I didn’t think the pacing was bad at all. And it was a lot of flashbacks but they were needed to give us the origin for some of the remaining characters Sad I couldn’t get the training cards they were giving out. They apparently ran out

now I get how people feel when they're asked to do an assignment in an interview process

000

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

got rejected for a job this morning that I really thought I had in the bag. first interview went well and moved onto the second interview pretty quickly. second interview included an assignment that I had to present and I thought it went so well. I was able to showcase my work and thought process

I finished DK Bananza last night. All 777 bananas and I have like 950 total I think? All 110 discs too I think this was the best DK game I’ve ever played. The layer designs are incredible, the character building for DK and Pauline is amazing. The gameplay is addictive I loved it

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 21/08/2025

I think the hardest part about interviewing is that I actually really enjoyed meeting people and it makes me want the job even more so the disappointment when rejected hits that much harder

110

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 21/08/2025

I love this!!! I know Sega offers Japanese courses too which is something that continues to draw me to any jobs they post

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 15/08/2025

It does look so good and I’m the person who will tell you that when Nintendo remakes the GBA Fire Emblem games, it should be in HD-2D because it just looks amazing

So avengers cast announcement part two is apparently rumored for august 27 We just need Elizabeth Olsen for the announcement to be a massive success

You were right, that was AMAZING!

110

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

Yeah! If that was indeed Cregger’s intention despite explicitly saying otherwise, I appreciate the movie more. And sticking with horror, I might finally watch Sinners tonight lol

110

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

During Archer’s dream, the large assault rifle in the sky. It hadn’t even occurred to me that that’s what the film was a message for so after this deep dive I can totally see the connection but then there’s one thing that conflicts with it which makes me question Cregger’s stance on the issue

110

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

I really enjoyed it. Without getting into any spoilers, I like the formatting of storytelling through different characters’ perspectives Admittedly I had to do a bit of a deep dive into different interpretations of the overall theme of the film because of one scene that felt very out of place

110

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

Oh hey I just got out of this too. Saw Freakier Friday in the afternoon too

110

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 05/08/2025

why are we still listening to the same tired nonsense that we just refuse to work? it’s not like our job market is terrible right now…oh wait

010

Benjamin Katz @benjaminkatz.bsky.social · 04/08/2025

yup, and I can’t get over how much character DK has now
