There’s a Jimothy mural right around the corner from my home. Pretty cool!

Mural of Jimothy on nearby building. A purple cartoon Jimothy is scurrying across a wooden fence in front of a yellow sky and Ballard train bridge over ship canal.

From Wikipedia: Jimothy (born est. 2026) is a wild raccoon living in Seattle. His unusual short, rounded shape, likely the result of a spinal deformity, led to him becoming a viral internet sensation in July 2026.

I don’t remember woke 1.0 going too far but I do remember when Sarah had to work alongside a guy whose behavior resulted in her work paying a $1M+ sexual harassment settlement.

Headed to Bainbridge with a baddie…

We’ve been at our new place for a bit over a month and our neighborhood Anna’s hummingbird is already a regular at our rooftop feeder. We’ve named him Pee Wee.

Finally all moved in with Sarah, and every day has been even better than the last.

It must have been easy to convince Josh Hart to sign with this Tommy John company. "Sign with us and everyone will know you have a big dick" was probably a pretty persuasive pitch.

I think we might be getting too high too early. I can’t remember if I’ve already brushed my teeth, and Sarah can’t remember if she’s pooped yet.

I'm not a car fan (or tire fan I guess?), but that Goodyear commercial that starts with Back to the Future is pretty good.

I don’t think they should be able to show commercials for horror films before YouTube videos. They scare children and me.

It’s the one-year anniversary of Sarah learning that it’s Barq’s, not Barg’s.

I once worked with a guy who was booted from several projects and ultimately fired from our company for being completely worthless. He was, honestly, the dumbest professional colleague I've ever had. He got another contract gig at Starbucks but was fired within six months.

My film goal this year was to watch 150 films and to prioritize classics, international cinema, and films directed by or centered on women and people of color. #filmsky #letterboxdfriday 🎥 #letterboxd

My Letterboxd 2024 stats. 171 diary entries, 164 reviews. Ranked list of first-time watches including After Life, 35 Shots of Rum, Modern Times, and others.

Movies watched by month - 14.2
Movies watched by week - 3.3
First film of 2024 was Uncut Gems.
50th film of 2024 was Claire's Knee.
100th film of 2024 was symbiopsychotaxiplasm.
150th film of 2024 was Frankenstein (1931).
Last film watched was Love, Actually.

Page provides information about the films I watched in 2024.

The first section displays my films by genre, country, and language. Most of the films were dramas and more than half were from outside the US and not in English.

The second section breaks down my 2024 films by themes and nano-genres. I don't really care about this section.

The third section shows I mostly watched films not released in 2024, that they were usually first-time watches, and that I usually wrote a review. It also shows that I added lots of films to my watchlist and that I watched 141 films from it.

Finally, a breakdown of my 2024 movies by the rating I gave them. Lots of films between 3.5 and 5 stars, primarily because I sought out movies that are well regarded and that were the kinds of films I typically enjoy.

World heat map of my 2024 movies by country of origin. US, France, and Japan are the most prominent. Lots of European films, quite a few African, and a smattering of the rest. Russia is gray (no films) even though I watched several.

Feeling good about my personal 2024 - my amazing gf felt supported enough to quit her awful job, I hit my goal of 150 films, “confirmed” my sexuality (hehe), spent some good quality time with my family, and Sarah and I saw TS in Amsterdam. I guess we’ll see how 2025 goes.

Movie watching has slowed but should improve with all the holiday films to watch. Started the season off with a couple terrible ones. #filmsky #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched 🎥

I'll be Home for Christmas (2 stars), Hot Frosty (1 star), Fantasia (4 stars), Masculin Feminin (3.5 stars)

Get yourself a partner who, when finding out you “did the deed” during your first experience with a guy, blurts out “let me see your butthole!” and follows that up immediately with a lament about not thinking to get before-and-after pics. She continues to be the funniest person I’ve ever known.

Thankful today and every day for my amazing partner. She is the funniest, most kind, and most beautiful person I’ve ever known.

The cure to having an annoyingly loud upstairs neighbor is to find out he’s an extremely hot Italian model. I am suddenly much more forgiving of the late-night workouts and thumping house music.

Great movies this week but wasn't really motivated to write anything but the briefest of reviews. Funeral Parade of Roses is sooooo good. #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched #filmsky 🎥

The Earrings of Madame De... (Ophuls, 4.5 stars), Funeral Parade of Roses (Matsumoto, 4.5 stars), Red Rocket (Baker, 4 stars), The Master (Anderson, 4.5 stars, rewatch)
