Ok, so I'm having genuine trouble understanding how this particular attack on Iran is supposed to prove useful. If you send in no ground troops, you can't actually prove if you accomplished anything that Iran doesn't admit to, possibly for years, even if you had killed the Ayatollah.

It is of the utmost importance that Europe responds appropriately to the beginning of WW3 after it finishes enjoying its weekend.

Everyone knows it only counts against your Nobel Peace Prize if you declare war. And even then, a declaration of war is an act of Congress so it shouldn't affect the president.
