I honestly think most iPhone apps should have the Private Access to Photos option, 99% of apps don't need access to your entire photo library and this is more convenient than the limited access option

An iPhone screen displays a notice titled “Private Access to Photos.” It explains that the app can only access photos and videos the user selects, won’t receive access to the full photo library, and will appear in Privacy settings. A blue “OK” button is at the bottom.

The great news is decentralized social protocols already exist. (Ex: Atmosphere, Activitypub, etc.) The public deserves a platform that serves public interests instead of being a data collection machine for advertisers.

Even with slowing AI development down, the truth is there’s no way to guarantee a model is fully aligned entirely. I’m not against AI, but this risk will remain even if we minimize the risk by slowing development. Powerful models will still be able to (theoretically) cause significant harm.
