Can't call this one a surprise, but I know people have been waiting for Majora's Mask's arrival. Taking a shot in the dark here & guessing that Majora's Mask 3D could be added in late April, around the release of Wes Ball & Avi Arad's live-action movie for The Legend of Zelda.

As of today, my total donations to the PBS Foundation now surmount to $700. If you'd like to donate too, here's the link. The more donations they get, the more likely these two autistic darlings are to get a second season of their show. foundation.pbs.org/donation/

Well, the merger of Paramount Skydance & Warner Bros. Discovery, and the formation of Skydance Corporation, has been completed, meaning SpongeBob & Blossom have gone from sworn rivals to begrudging colleagues. I made this graph showcasing that something about this combination just doesn't add up.

Well, that was a bit of a surprise. I was holding out for a Pokémon soundtrack, either X/Y or Ruby/Sapphire. I know TPCi is stingy and all, but still. I actually made a little speculation list for the rest of 2026 (which now excludes this week):

The Hatsune Miku 2nd Festival is about to wrap up. Here's how I fared in it. The beginning of October was very eventful for me, so I didn't get to pour much time into the Festival. It also means that my Top 1,000 streak will probably be broken.

Still, there's a ton of overlaps within this combination, and Skydance Corporation is only allowed to make all this happen because the guy who coined the name is the son of a big-time supporter of the guy from The Apprentice who currently sits at the White House & identifies as a monarch.

Cartoon Network's still listed in the below image (and Cartoonito too despite being practically useless in this day & age), but still, Spongebob takes priority as the biggest rival to Mickey Mouse in the modern day.

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I knew that if it was gonna come down to Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network, it was gonna be the former considering they're listed with Paramount & Warner Bros. themselves alongside DC Comics, CBS, CNN, HBO Max, and Paramount+.

Word. It had its faults, but also...there were so many groovy rides & costumes that are now abandonware & will be for quite some time. Played from launch & got all of them except for a few gliders.

020

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Was too focused on indulging in Mario Kart Tour during its final hours to notice, but that's a pretty short gap between Special Release & primary addition. Mere months apart. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond's primary addition can't be far behind.

010

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

And finally, the battle mode balloons. That's a lot of content. And when the time comes for "Switch 3", "Mario Kart Ultimate" is an obligation, not an idea, for the sake of salvaging the bulk of this. In the meantime, some of this has to be salvaged sooner via Mario Kart World DLC.

011

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Now for the gliders. I missed a few Hanafuda gliders and the Gold Mario Cap one.

Now for (most of) the rides and their variants.

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

With Mario Kart Tour getting discontinued at midnight, I learned that even a series known for its approachability isn't exempt from the shadiness of mobile gaming, from loot boxes to a finite lifespan. Still, here's one last look at my collections, starting with the drivers and their variants.

I recently got word of mouth that Asami Yaguchi, Kuchipatchi's voice actress from the Tamagotchi! anime franchise, died a couple of days ago from heart failure. I made this short-notice memorial drawing in response. I drew Kuchipatchi mourning the loss of his fallen voice provider, surrounded by...

I don't think I've brought up Pokémon card scalpers before, but they're an unhinged crazy lot; the kind that warrants every negative adjective imaginable. Forget sending scalpers who do this particular kind of evil to hell; even the Devil wouldn't want them. Yeet them to a Black Hole ASAP.

I don't see Nintendo putting in the OSTs for their other mobile games anytime soon. They'd have to make a separate category for them, which would look off next to the listings of their own hardware.

100

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I feel you. Furthermore, most of the 500 tracks are pretty short, matching the microgames they were assigned to, and only 82 of them are extendable. I'd expect a break after something like Xenoblade, but a break after WarioWare doesn't feel right considering how big of an establishment Nintendo is.

010

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

correspond to the very short microgames, and only 82 of them are extendable, so this wonky schedule is confusing to me. Ah well, at least I can focus on indulging in Mario Kart Tour during its final days.

010

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

The more simplified designs used since the 3DS' WarioWare Gold just don't sit right with me. Big-time bummer that Nintendo will be skipping next week. The week before, they only added the title theme from the Switch 2's Ocarina of Time remake. 576 tracks may seem like a whole lot, but most of them

110

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I was out cold last night, so I didn't get to respond to this until now. Wario went from over a year of being the only Mario sub-series with no music to having three OSTs released this year. Although, I'm not really a fan of how he & his gang look here, especially Dribble and 9-Volt.

110

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

For those who wanna indulge in them, its now or not until "Mario Kart Ultimate" for "Switch 3" happens (which it BETTER).

021

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Well, this is it. Mario Kart Tour's 183rd & final tour (AKA the third rerun of the 2023 Anniversary Tour) is now live. After these 14 days are up, a lot of groovy karts and costumes, among other things, will be considered lost media.

110

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

They sorta didn't have a choice. Nintendo has exclusive rights to the Bayonetta sequels, which include how she appears in them.

100

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Sonic has now invited five of his fellow third-party Smash Bros. fighters to his racing tenure. Mario won't even invite Diddy Kong, King Bob-Omb, or the Koopalings to his (at least in the here & now). Even as a Mario fan, I ain't taking the crown off the azure hedgehog anytime soon.

The Samba de Amigo Festival in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has now concluded. Here's how I fared at it.

001

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Welp, it's the usual update time and I don't see anything else besides that one non-extendable track. Pretty lame if you ask me...

100

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

You were right. I didn't update until now. I see it now, and got it set to "Track 3" (AKA the Wii U's Mii Maker theme). Thank you for the guide!

110

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I just went on there, and I don't hear any music. Is there some other system setting where you turn it on or off?

210

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

exceptional, and Metroid Ravenous and Kirby & the World Beyond look nifty.

001

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Just watched the Direct. Didn't get the chance to until now since I was at work. Tamagotchi was a no show. And the latest update for Mario Kart World is pretty underwhelming considering we're about to lose Mario Kart Tour & the content within it, but the Switch 2's third-party support is otherwise

130

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Didn't get the chance to post this last night, but Amigo's addition means we're one driver closer to a Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed reunion. (Oh, and before this, I did the B Dasher custom machine trick and made the vehicle's variants from the soon-to-be-discontinued Mario Kart Tour)

001

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has salvaged a lot of courses from Mario Kart Tour, but I would be severely let down if Mario Kart World doesn't salvage some of Tour's vehicles & driver costumes that'll soon be lost media for the foreseeable future.

011

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I'll believe Smash for Switch 2 in this Direct when I see it, but just for the heck of it, I made a tier list on tiermaker.com basing the likelihood of the veterans off their games being featured on Nintendo Music.

000

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I wouldn't mind at all if Smash 64 (and Melee; this coming November is its 25th Anniversary after all) was announced for Nintendo Classics, though. Modest way to hold the hungry Smash fans over.

010

EphesusHeed19 @benevolentblonde.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I feel a similar way. I'll believe a new Smash Bros. when I see it. Plus, with Ultimate being Iwata's final mission for Sakurai before his death, I imagine Sakurai having a protégé to hand the director's controller over to while he broadens his own resume.
