Gum is helping with the ‘mouth hungry, tummy full’ oddness… for the none of you that were wondering

One weird thing I’m getting from being back on Ozempic for my diabeeetus, is that I’m finding that mouth is hungry, but my stomach is not. That’s the best way I can come up with to describe the feeling

Saw Alice Oseman this afternoon as part of the Brisbane Writers Festival this afternoon. Made my geeky little queer heart happy 😊

My partner is on a temporary visa as well, and between him and his friends I know damn well that without them (and others in similar situations), there’d be basically no one cleaning offices, hotel housekeeping, kitchen work and so much more…

I hated it. But I’m very much in a minority there…

Not yet, just that one. I don’t know if you’ve read The Secret History or not, but my review of The Shards basically boiled down to ‘this is what The Secret History wished it was’

First, a public holiday done right. Second, a public holiday done less right. I f***ing hate packing and f***ing suck at it AND I really really f***ing hate moving

Oh hun, sending big hugs and love to you 🫂🫂 You’re not a piece of shit either, like everyone else you’ve made choices that were correct at the time

Seen her live three times now, and the most recent one this past February, was the best concert I’ve been to

Tried my hand at making Japanese Egg Sandos today… tasty, but need to work on it such more (such hardship!!). Also, one small sandwich and I’m feeling very very full, so clearly the Ozempic is working

He wasn’t able to get any initially, but through the resale site… I imagine it’s going to be a very very expensive concert for him

It’s not the end of the world if I don’t get the weight loss benefits, but it would be nice. When I was on it some years back it was very helpful for my blood sugar levels

I do have the diabeetus yeah. My Doctor did consider Mounjaro a while ago, but I just don’t have that in my budget at the moment. From past usage I do know that Ozempic is pretty good for my blood sugars, which is the more important thing right now

Doctor finally putting me back on this… maybe this time I’ll get the weight loss everyone else seems to get from it - or is that just reserved for non-diabetics?!

Conan gives good concert. I’ll save my grumpy old man routine about the revolting behaved, self-centred people around me for another time

That’s tomorrow Brendan’s problem… current Brendan is just gonna concentrate on the Conan Gray concert tonight 🤪

I am certain that I heard them talking about it up here as well… but it was probably the last Labor government and thus it was likely an election promise and the LNP would definitely not do anything to help tenants
