iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I feel like if you're doing the odyssey you either strip it right down, like The Return, or you have to really lean into the weirdness of it. Nolan tries to do both and I think that's why it felt unsatisfying to me.

I kinda get it tbh. The first episode is so incredible and the following three are a definite step down.

The Bourne books are basically unreadable.

I'm biased as an Everton fan but James Garner can do that and he can play fullback too. Instead we took Henderson as a personality hire.

Southgate would have been slaughtered for that last half hour.

He has a glucose monitor and an insulin pump which monitor his blood sugar and release insulin as needed. It means his sugars are kept under control 24/7 and no injections or finger pricks every day.

My son has type 1 diabetes. Over the last few years advances in tech (which work via his 'superfluous' iphone) have been life changing.

Caramel was always salted, they just realised they could charge more for it if they made it sound fancy.

As a librarian I think this means I need to hand in my badge and gun. I've read 16 out of 100 on the list. How many have you read? www.theguardian.com/p/x4f9v5

There was a time, not that long ago, where I'd never heard of the Met Gala. It was a better time.

I also can't get my head around not even mentioning Albert Speer. Surely his story is the more interesting one.

I went to see Nuremberg last night and was pretty disappointed. Russell Crowe was very good but some of the dialogue was atrocious.

People that said the Naked Gun is good/hilarious/single handedly going to revive comedy films were very wrong imo.

Just back from watching 28 years later. A lot of stuff I loved and an ending that was truly bizarre. Feel it didn't need to be a sequel, as a standalone film it would have worked just as well if not better.

I think the most damning thing i can say about last night's Doctor Who is that on more than one occasion I paused it to see how long was left.
