My erotic horror story, The Tides of Sodomy, is coming as part of The Clubhouse anthology series curated by Crystal Cook ! This is also a prequel story to my upcoming dark surreal fantasy novelette, The Meat-Eating Sun.

I was a little late to the party on seeing Obsession, but I just finished it. I can see why it made such a buzz. It's a pretty solid film with some really unnerving moments. It also really hits on a lot of issues around romance and dating in today's world. Yeah, definitely worth the watch.

Day 1 of Printer's Row went extremely well! If you didn't get a chance to stop by, we'll be there again tomorrow. Shout out to Matthew Henshaw. It was awesome to get to meet you in person!

Just got out of Coyote vs. Acme with my partner. It was a lot of fun. They really got the Looney Tunes style of slapstick right. I'm glad it ended up being released.

I just got out of watching Teenage Sex and Death in Camp Miasma with Rae O Sunshine . I thought it was fantastic. I really loved the style and the story. It's up there as one of the better "meta" slashers I've seen.

The move to Chicago didn't go as well as it could have. The good news is I can finally sleep in my new apartment and go back to work tomorrow. Plus my new place has a nice view.

I've been having trouble concentrating on my longer writing projects with this move coming up, so instead I've been writing these short, Russell Edson-esque pieces. I'm aiming for at least one a day until I'm moved. Here's one inspired by a conversation with my partner.

My current projects: I'm currently shopping around two short novels, one is my most experimental novel yet (The Neon Hums My Name) and a more traditional one which is more personal in the vein of If today... (Silence in the Concrete Cathedral).

Preorders make the world go round, although truthfully by “world” one means “tiny press” and by “go round” one means “not go defunct,” which is considerably less catchy. Below are some books that are available or preorder, all signed by their respective authors.

The funny thing about the mythologizing around Elon Musk by himself and his sycophants is they don't really serve to make him look better. If he doesn't own a yacht (true but misleading) or any homes (complete lie), what the fuck is he spending is trillions on?

Submarines Summer malarkeybooks.com/submarines

Overlaid on the Yankees outfield, this text:
"Submarines is one of those books that feels like it's emerged from the fathoms of collective human experience, to reveal its unspoken mysteries, if only for a nanosecond, before sinking into the marrow of our subconscious, haunting us when we we least expect, but desperately need, to be reminded that the 'everyday nothingness of life' is all that matters. In other words, Mike Andrelyzk's debut novel is a gift."
