Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Big festive thanks to Santa(s) for the hard work over the years! Always an enjoyable event! This will be the last Christmas then, someone should write a song about that. 030
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Like music, do you? Like The Beatles, yeah? Why don’t you buy Paul McCartney’s friends house then? Why don’t you? Put it on a shelf alongside the Anthology box set. bid.omegaauctions.co.uk/auction/deta...bid.omegaauctions.co.uk 000
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Guitarist is on the right of the opening shot. As @grooves.bsky.social says, you can see his guitar by the railing. 000
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I was sort of wondering the same thing - is this live? I assume it is, with suspended mics for his vocals. I doubt he did miming. 110
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Piddington’s Tim McNally pushing Reform talking points live on the BBC right now. Defending far right protests and warning of more. Why has this been the main story all morning? 030
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 15/09/2026He doesn’t understand what he’s talking about, does he? 000
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 07/09/2026She ended the piece with a call to leave the ECHR, with no response from Jon Kay, as he was finishing the interview. What on earth has that got to with her position as a PCC? 021
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 14/07/2026We say this all the time in our house. I didn’t ever think he was depressed, though? Thought it was a silly language thing. 000
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 08/07/2026They would have had the sample, then recreated the sample? IDK. I'm driven mad that it's stated as an interpolation everywhere, and Dre was known to do this a lot. Dave Peacock hasn't ever mentioned re-recording it, but thats not to say Dre didn't do it with his people. 110
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 08/07/2026The usage was probably a publishing though? Everything I've read is that it's a replay, the credits are for an interpolation and I keep reading that Dre got the 'original session musicians' to replay it - but can't find out much more than that. This is a hill I'm going to crawl slowly up and die on. 110
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 08/07/2026But this is, as stated on the actual record itself, an interpolation - so a replay, like most of Dr Dre's productions. So it's not actually Chas & Dave on the record? I realise I'm splitting hairs here but THIS IS IMPORTANT. 100

Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 29/03/2026WRC sleeves are always groovy. My initial “I’ve stumbled across something amazing here!” always changes to a little sad face when I flip it over and see the WRC logo. 120

Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 13/03/2026I love that version of God Only Knows, and I love Tony Rivers constantly rushing to put out Beach Boys covers before anyone else got to them. His ‘I’ve Seen To Dream’ on the Harmony Grass album is like a fever dream of a Beach Boys song, just perfect. 020
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Always people with amazing hifi that have the worst taste in music. 020
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 28/01/2026Everyone and their (mod) dog is sharing this this morning, but what a great clip. Just before they became the mighty Mighty Baby, Reg is in fine form here, and Alan King's moustache is a thing to behold. Also, the terrible dancing. youtu.be/_TMm-GWESGA?...youtu.beThe Action - Shadows & Reflections (Jan. 8, 1968)YouTube video by CLASSIC TRASH 010
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/01/2026I don’t know that at all - will check. Yes, finding records in places they shouldn’t be is always an (enjoyable) puzzle. 120
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 23/01/2026I read about Hymns A Swingin’ on Soul Strut (the US equivalent of Vinyl Vultures) one evening, then popped into a charity shop on my way to work the next day, and there it was, sitting at the front of the racks! If only that happened every time. 150
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 27/12/2025His show has been a pre-record for a long time, he sometimes did sound a bit on autopilot. It’s a shame as, even though he can be a bit annoying, it’s a really good show, great music. 030

Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Ha ha ha, ok. It suppose it has got All Stood Still on it, and because #vinylsanta has been so good I WILL listen to it. But what a GREAT selection. THANKS SANTA! 0171
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Ha ha! Brilliant! I haven’t got this but I’m sure it’s on my (long) list somewhere! Max Tundra production I think, isn’t it? Great, I love them. #vinylsanta is a fucking HERO. One more… 2192
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Ooof! Yes! Fucking great! I know the name, not heard the band but it’s right up my bluegrass crossing into country Billy Strings Molly Tuttle Dead South strasse. This is EXCELLENT. THANKS #vinylsanta! And there’s still more! 1121
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Glen! My hero. Banger after banger on this, if I haven’t got it already, it’ll be going on the shelves. THANKS SANTA!!! Next! 120
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Next off in this very generous package - another one that I have no idea about. From a quick look at the spot UV’d text on dark background it’s Italian challenging techno I’m saying. Record & Tape Exchange obv took a while to shift it, ha ha! But that’s true of ALL THE BEST RECORDS. More.. 230
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025First lp into the #vinylsanta package and I have no idea what this is - could be indie, could be dancey, could be experimentally, no idea but I look forward to finding out. 1121
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Evening #vinylsanta! I WILL have a roarsome Xmas, I hope that you do too! I will now proceed… 1121
Ben Lewis @ben6970.bsky.social · 19/12/2025I was about to say, does the Revolting Cocks 12” count? I have it somewhere, better check it hasn’t exploded all over the other twelves. 130
