I was hoping this might happen!

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

You think you’ve seen it all, and then someone picks Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children for their Letterboxd Top 4.

Alright, Heated Rivalry.

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I just wish Veronika Electronica had been better, Garry.

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Imagine if people reserved some of the scorn they poured on Taylor Swift for all the other artists releasing thin gruel supplemental material rather than just gritting their teeth through it.

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I have other *favourites*, but it’s very hard to argue with this!

110

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Thank you, CRJ, for realising that albums should be longer than 38 minutes.

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I appreciate that this is necessary.

000

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I feel so gross saying this, but...I absolutely would?

110

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I like those sections more, but it does feel like they're trying to pull an Uncharted.

000

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Unfortunately, I will always respect Noah Galvin for that wild interview he did back in the day. But if you say it needs to happen, then I suppose needs must.

020

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

And this is how I found out that Jean Smart won another Emmy that she didn’t need. And - against Kudrow, at least - didn’t deserve!

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

You would think that the deeply evil Dear Evan Hansen film would have killed the Ben Platt Project for good, and yet here we are.

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I haven't seen a horse filmed this erotically since the one in the video for Radar by Britney Spears.

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Watching War Horse (film) for the first time, and the concept seems to be 'what if everyone was gay for Horse and also There Is A War On.'

140

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Dove Cameron in an Amanda Holden biopic when?

110

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Big Wurzel Gummidge vibes on that one. That or the Jeepers Creeper.

011

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

The Newsreader, if you haven’t already!

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

God, what’s the name for the opposite of a Little Monster (other than me, Ben).

000

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Ariana being on a level pegging with Donna Summer and ABOVE Brandy is deeply, viscerally upsetting.

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Jordan, this is such a wild take, I can’t not engage. Much as I am an XTina defender, there’s just no way she could manage what Babs is doing in Don’t Rain on My Parade.

000

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Is Adults a great TV show or do I just have a crush on the tall, sexually fluid Canadian man?

070

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I mean…Barbra absolutely should be above XTina!!

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Truly the most chic thing one can do in an office.

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

You’re doing BM as well?

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Wanna see that worm bleed, though. What colour’s its blood?

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Absolutely not! Loser behaviour!

030

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

At least it gave us Cinderella III: A Twist in Time.

000

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

God, that stretch from Brother Bear to Meet the Robinsons is ROUGH (this was during my years working at the Disney Store and even employees couldn’t maintain enthusiasm for some of these).

100

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Haunting. How they're all sat there preparing to die? When they ask that woman to take her glasses off and then dump all the high heels in the bathroom? AGHH.

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

It's *such* a fascinating movie. I wish we had more of this kind of big swing adult dramas now. And that CAST.

110

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Watching Fearless and with all due respect to Anna Paquin, but that Best Supporting Actress Oscar should have been Rosie Perez’s to lose. This and It Could Happen To You the following year…her range! And, of course, Paquin should have received her own Oscar years later for Margaret.

121

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

More proof that Disney Gays need to be stopped.

000

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Yes, I'm sort of baffled by anyone who thinks this huge cultural juggernaut with huge cross-generational appeal isn't going to be a smash. It doesn't even need to be good! Fans just want every sentence of the book right up there on screen.

020

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

I’ve been saying the same thing! There’s something very ‘third Practical Magic sister’ about it.

110

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

And ducky plays along!

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Obsessed with every review of The Shards adaptation referring to it as 'autobiography.' You know that Brett Easton Ellis didn't *actually* hunt down an LA serial killer, right?

020

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

omg this is *exactly* what it reminds me of

110

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Other contenders for me: Olivia Rodrigo Kehlani Kacey Musgraves But I agree, WGIA and Confessions are really battling it out for that #1 spot!

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

This week’s dragon fight on HotD

030

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

It’s very *nice*? The last album was a big leap forward for me, and this feels of a piece with that but just…less good?

010

Ben @ben1283.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Where's HR when you need them?
