Most people agree that Vision Pro is incredible but too expensive. How much *would* you pay for one? www.apple.com/v/apple-visi...

Still dreaming of a VR game where you pilot a mech and fight large robotic enemies. After a battle, hop out of your mech to saw and cut important parts from the enemy. Climb your mech and attach parts by welding, etc. Hop back in the pilot seat and go take on bigger enemies with your new equipment.

I never thought late-stage capitalism would be so… overt.

If you were waiting for a sale to pick up Reach, you can get a 40% discount on the Quest version with the code BFCM25. Deal is running until December 2nd.

Galaxy XR fits comfortably in Meta’s $60 Quest 3 case… unless you’re really itching to pay $200 for Samsung’s case.

Updated Vision Pro no longer includes the Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band in the box, suggesting that they think the new Dual Knit Band is the superior option all around (I sure hope so).

Hmm, PSVR 2 app for SteamVR updated for the first time since April. "We've made some performance and stability improvements to the app," is the only changelog. I wonder what prompted the update.

It's cool that Meta is offering several styles of smart glasses, but Google Glass was way ahead of the game with an interchangeable lens design that allowed you to change style without needing an entirely new unit.

Just found my new favorite virtual desktop manager for Windows 11. Completely free and works great: github.com/newlooper/Vi... (P.S. for VR friends: this is about managing multiple Windows desktops, not virtual reality!)

Zero Caliber 2 Remastered is offering to lower the game's price based on Steam wishlist milestones. Do we think this will lead to a net benefit for the game's revenue?

With a live action Zelda movie on the horizon, any fan of the music needs to listen to this incredible reorchestration of the Ocarina of Time soundtrack, expertly arranged and played by a full orchestra. It captures how epic the game felt to me as a kid: open.spotify.com/playlist/6G6...

Glad to see a special edition Quest that leans toward a specific use-case without causing fragmentation. But I can't believe there still hasn't been a Beat Saber edition!

Ben Lang @ben.roadtovr.com · 20/06/2025

Weird idea but I'd love to see a @BeatSaber x @boburnham collab where they bring some of the most musical tracks from INSIDE to Beat Saber. Think there could be some really fun maps to be made with his comical lyrics, and some of his songs are legit jams.

Logitech announced a new VR stylus for Vision Pro last week, but the company has been working on them at least as far back as 2019 with the VR Ink Pilot Edition, which used SteamVR tracking. Did anyone buy one or know someone who did? I'm not sure if the Pilot Edition was ever actually mass produced

We don’t cover a lot of 3D displays, but special shout out to Sony’s glasses-free Spatial Reality Display which has gotten really impressive. Really sharp and great sense of depth. Obviously can’t show you the 3D effect in a photo, but trust me it looks really good for glasses-free.

I'm so glad I built this little extension for Google Calendar. I realize for many people this probably seems completely unnecessary , but for a brain like mine, this is like autopilot for staying on time for important events.

I love seeing elegant design in small places. The handle on this stall door is also the lock, and it feels like a real handle rather than those horrible little slider things 👌

Apple has finally openly defined their immersive video terminology, though I don't quite understand the distinction between "3D" and "spatial" where the latter simply includes "metadata." Anyone know what they mean by this?

9 years ago to the week, Microsoft made an official on-stage pronouncement that Xbox Series X would support VR. Unfortunately that never materialized. Today, Microsoft is almost completely absent in the XR space. Did they make the right call?

First-gen Surface Book was a beautiful piece of hardware with an excellent keyboard. But three years or so after I got it, Windows bloat made it feel like it was ancient tech. Meanwhile, the three year old Macbook Air that replaced it still feels like it's as fast as the day I bought it.
