As they stand talking, it's clear the person in dark armor is shorter. They're chatting, "I got so excited by the armor and the emblem I assumed you were from vigil (I've never gotten to see one of them in action...) but then you took a chelaxian kind of stance so | guess I was wrong— sorry! Oh! I forgot. Names." They lift their visor.

They stand with their helm under their arm, cheerful and without a scar over their nose. They say, " I'm Roswinn. Nice to meet you."
A narrator box says, 4725 - 9 years later." They stand in ruined armor, with ragged hair and a scar over the bridge of their nose they say, "Hi, Nixa."

A crowded tavern. A tiefling man faces away from the viewer. he thinks, “who is that woman? Why do I know her face? Where did I meet here…?”

The man remembers. “Ah, that’s right.” He thinks of a ballroom he can see only from behind the archway. He was not invited. The woman is Helia Belunne, matriarch of house Belunne. He finishes his drink, thinking. “What’s the matriarch of a chelaxian noble house doing in a tavern in the middle of Isger? S’pose it’s up to ol’ serado to figure it out.”

The man walks outside. He goes behind the tavern. He takes off his belt scarf, and tucks it around his neck, as it shimmers with magic and transforms his appearance to an ordinary human man. A descriptive box notes, “masquerade scarf - allows the wearer to assume an illusory disguise for an hour once per day.” He thinks, “damn useful, this thing is.”

Back in the tavern which is noisy and crowded. The two women are still talking. The man leans against a pillar. He thinks, Damn, can’t hear a thing over this racket.

One woman stands, and puts something on the table.
