Lovely to be out on the doorstep in Myatt's Fields this afternoon. If you're heading back from work, there's still time to cast your vote in this byelection! Polling stations are open until 10pm ⏰

I share concerns about proposals to scrap the 415 bus route 🚏 Tulse Hill is already under-served for bus links with buses travelling to Brixton often overly congested at peak times. These plans risk making the issue of overcrowding worse along this stretch.
Map showing proposed changes to London bus routes 415 and 333. Route 415 would be withdrawn between Tulse Hill and Old Kent Road Tesco. Route 333 would be extended from Elephant & Castle to Old Kent Road, replacing part of the 415 route.

Three people, including a child, drowned in the Channel today. Our politics is so broken that the debate is never about how we stop these deaths and always about how we can come up with harsher policies that make more deaths inevitable.

NHS Blood and Transplant has acknowledged that publishing donation and deferral data by ethnicity and gender would have merit. The government should commit to doing this annually, so that progress can be properly measured.

Black donors are being turned away at more than double the national rate. We are also asking the government to review the evidence around current deferral criteria, updating them if necessary so that more people can safely donate.

Brixton's Donor Centre has shown what a community-based approach to recruiting Black and ethnic minority donors can achieve. The government can build on this model by extending it to other areas of high need and setting out a national strategy to boost recruitment.
