Did a bit more work on this. Back is absolute wreck atm - Went to Reality Fracture Prerelease at my LGS two days in a row and my nerve damage has ensured I regret it. But hey, I went 4-0 last night, so there's that. Def some inspiration from some MtG art here.

Felt like doing something different, idk. Unlike previous paintings where I worked inwards to outline the figure previously, I basically stenciled them out, here. May have been a mistake. I'm just... bleh. Might be WiP, we'll see.

Example of my typical line art sketching process. Start with gesture drawing, either a new one or an old one, and then just... iterate on it, until I have something I kind of like and can use. Do a rough comp sketch, and then refine it. And so on.

Anyway, been a bit, but... Honestly, been a tad out of sorts. Been working on my SSI/Disability Hearing, for the nth time. Only, this time, my application appeal was accepted by the judge. Got the letter two days ago. Been fighting for it for 14 years... And now I have it, I'm just... Exhausted.

Having been teaching myself Blender for months now, I think I understand why we're seeing more and more AI use in Game studios, beyond just corporate mandates. Crunch Culture. Worn down, exhausted, stressed - Of course some will feel the temptation to use it. The work is complex. It takes time.

I definitely feel like I have inadvertently created the VFX for a JRPG Boss's Final Transformation and Utimate Move. Made after going through a Geometry Nodes Tutorial by Sharpwind on Youtube. Deeefinitely gave me a headache, but was easy enough to follow along. Then I took it a bit further.

Last versions for tonight. People I consulted liked this combination of blue/pink/white the best, so that's what we're going with. Otherwise, just some cleanup and detailing on the shading and lighting. Will probably finish this wednesday.

Still can't draw, and been taking it light on the wrist, so been awhile. But I have been doing some (very light) work in Blender, still. Outfit is just a Yennefer outfit I'm using for test purposes. Still needs work. I continue to hate hair, whether it's hair curves or hair card textures.

Hands, why you do me like this? Another foray into animation. Base was a Yennefer model from Plague of Humanity I found, and have been slowly modifying. Why is retargetting animation such a pain in the ass? Still don't have a full idea of what I'm doing. Just kind of flailing around.

Since my wrist is still sore, I guess have some of my first attempts at animation with Blender. All credit to Kenjjoo for the Panam model - I was just using it to play around. It... definitely needs work. It's a little bit cursed. But hey, first attempt, right? Practice'll make perfect.
