Posting a little early because I'm between tasks. Helping dad move some furniture and working on my own tasks. Will I find time to write today? I hope #AO3 #indieauthor #paranormalromance archiveofourown.org/works/732763...

At this point, multiple things have happened. My brain has cleared, so hopefully I'll be able to share more Kobold King content, because I haven't written much. Things are also slowing down appointment wise, and its that time of year when I do a lot of baking. The plan is to post and share more 4/?

The kidney's have been narrowed down to her diabetes. But that Breast Cancer needed to be dealt with first and foremost. So on Sept 3rd, mom had a mastectomy. She came home the 4th, and the 5th would have been when I posted the next chapter, and hopefully understandably, I didn't get it up. 3/?

She's bee in great spirits, and in no pain, but its been a lot of running around to DR appointments. In the process of trying to figure out 'why' the kidney's aren't doing well, it was discovered that she had breast cancer and a non-cancerous mass in her abdomen. 2/?

Life continues to life, but I feel I need to be a bit more transparent after missing another chapter post. As some know, but many don't. I'm a care giver for my mother, so I live with my parents. Over the summer it came to light that mom's kidney's aren't doing well, though you wouldn't know it 🧵 /?

My head has just been too full of crap that there's just no room to write, even if I was a plotting and less of pantser, I've been staring at my page and all I think about is what's going on. Tho I do have chapter 12 mostly figured out. 2/3 🧵

Its been really hard to do any sort of writing lately. My goal of 100k words on Kobold King by end of Augs likely isn't going to happen, but that's okay because I'm not on a deadline. Forgiveness is key here to not feel discouraged moving forward. 1/?🧵

Did a little bit of math, and if I want to write 100k words by the end of August, I gotta write about 6,800 words a week. Which I can do, cause that's less than a 1k a day, and I typically write over 2k per-sitting. Goal Set! #wordcount #indieauthor #goalsetting

The World of Kobold King is taking on a mind of its own. The World now has a name. It now has various continents and countries within them. I'm already thinking Kobold King might be a Duology. All of this, and I've only written 6,l00 words of the story. #worldbuilding #indieAuthor #fantasyromance

Work on Kobold King is slow going. I'm up to the start of a 3rd chapter, but I keep running into situations where I need lore. The name of a Kingdom, which then turns into figuring out the Capital City and the name of the castle and do I want to use the name race 'Human'? #indieauthor #darkfantacy
