As a kid our local chip shops had pickled onion vinegar as well as malt on offer. Have you ever tried it?

belgraveshed.bsky.social @belgraveshed.bsky.social · 14/10/2026

Don't tell anyone but I hereby admit that I buy jars of pickled onions just so I can use the vinegar on my [UK] chips.

We had the option of having our plot ploughed for a fee and some years had free bark chippings for paths. Annual rent was cheap say £30- £80 for a year. There were restrictions on burning waste as we were in an urban area. We had a composting toilet on site and could add a shed up to a certain size.

belgraveshed.bsky.social @belgraveshed.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Full plots in UK are approx 250m² or 2,700 sq ft (roughly tennis court size). Increasingly common are half size and quarter sized plots. Most sizes have standing pipes for water shared between say 4 plots. There are restrictions on hose pipes being connected to the taps to be fair to everyone. 1/2

Wonder when we will get more details about that.

Yep definitely - he has a vision & keeps on with the retakes until he gets there. I know for "Hi Ren" the retakes were few just because they kicked out the building. Then he spends an inordinate amount of time in his studio mixing, balancing and editing etc. His team seem to accept that is his way.

Lyme Disease UK @lymediseaseuk.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

In the UK, ticks can be active from February through November, with a smaller peak in activity between September and November. So if you’re heading out for an autumn walk, exploring the woods, gardening or enjoying the outdoors, remember to check for ticks when you get home.
